ANALYSIS: Beckham made his first start of the season on Sunday after spending the first four weeks recovering from a major hamstring injury. The Giants' first round 2014 draft pick, who was one of our preseason sleepers even with the injury, impressed in his debut racking up 4 catches for 44 yards and a touchdown on limited snaps. Surprisingly, in his first game of the season, Beckham showed great rapport with Eli, something the rest of the wide receivers on the Giants have struggled with early on in the season.
As Beckham continues to get eased into the lineup, expect him to make big plays and possibly develop into one of Eli’s trusted go to guys (remember Donnell had 3 TDs just one week ago). I would trust him as a FLEX play for the next couple of weeks as he gets eased in, and possibly see him make that jump to WR2 level (especially in PPR leagues) if he continues his fine play, and of course stays healthy. Make sure to try and grab him off the Week 6 waiver wire.
