PROSPECT: Noah Schultz, SP, Chicago White Sox
CURRENT LEVEL: High-A
2024 STATS: Six G, Six GS, 0-1, 23.1 IP, 3.86 ERA, 2.17 FIP, 14.66 K/9, 2.31 BB/9, 0.39 HR/9, 33.3% GB%, .311 BABIP
ANALYSIS: Chicago White Sox starting pitching prospect Noah Schultz has been dominating at High-A this season and is worth monitoring in dynasty leagues.
Through 23 ⅓ innings (six starts), the 20-year-old southpaw has a 3.86 ERA and a stellar 0.90 WHIP with 38 punchouts and has allowed just six free passes. However, he has never surpassed more than four innings in a start.
Last season, he logged 27 innings at Single-A with a 1.33 ERA and 0.85 WHIP. He held a similar 38:6 K:BB ratio.
Prospects with the most realistic ace upside per @StatlineScout model:
1. Mason Miller (31% K-BB)
2. Ricky Tiedemann (22.3%)
3. Noah Schultz (22.1%) 👇For context, Grayson Rodriguez is projected 20.2% in the model.

Currently, he is ranked as the third overall left-handed pitching prospect in baseball and the No. 2 prospect in the White Sox system on MLB Pipeline. Even though Schultz carries a higher ERA this season at High-A, he has increased his strikeout rate from 36.5% to 40.4% and lowered his FIP from 3.11 to 2.17, which are great signs that he is developing quite well.
The former first-round selection in the 2022 MLB Draft has been showcasing his elite strikeout upside through both Single and High-A and dynasty managers should continue to monitor him as he could develop into a must-stash if he carries this success into Double-A.
