BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 40% of leagues
ANALYSIS: I never thought I'd see a better Speedy than Claxton but here we are, Nicolás! Nicolas Claxton is the main Biggie in Brooklyn these days and lets me tell you he's definitely not Small(s). Enough with the easy jokes.
Claxton already played nicely last year (his third in BK) in his 47 games with the Nets. The team went 24-23 with him on the court, so it's not that he molly-murdered Brooklyn or its paint. In fact, Claxton scored nearly 9 PPG in a low 21 MPG with a USG% as low as 15%. The improvement has been steady for Nic, averaging better numbers in points, rebounds, and blocks while every year while keeping his APG at nearly one a pop.
The challenge is for him to best his prior-best (nearly) 9-5-1 line (with 1+ BPG) this year, but he'll see how that goes. So far, so good for the center, though. In the early season and with two games in the Nets books, Claxton is averaging a dub-dub to the tune of 16+ PPG and 10 RPG with one steal and two blocks per outing. Not bad, if you ask me. Let alone for someone available in 60% (!) of all ESPN leagues.
The talent present in Brooklyn is unreasonable and KD, Kyrie, and Simmons will get touches in bunches while fighting for the rock. Or will they? Claxton has put up back-to-back USG% marks of 20% and 19.5% so there might be some light at the end of the tunnel.
The shooting will never fail to be on the high-end because Claxton doesn't know the meaning of playing outside of the paint, so that's an added bonus. The FTA have gone from 2 to 8 in the past game, so we'll see how that evolves too as it might be the only/another source of easy FP for him in most leagues.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
