ANALYSIS: Our award-winning expert ranker Nick Mariano has Nico Collins ranked as one of the best values in terms of early-round receivers. Collins is being taken later than Chris Olave, Davante Adams, and Drake London despite finishing ahead of all three last season in fantasy points per game in full PPR leagues (WR7, 17.4).

Collins finished his 2024 breakout campaign with 1,297 yards receiving on 80 catches and eight touchdowns. While Stefon Diggs is now in Houston and Tank Dell emerged as a serious deep threat last season, Collins should still be the WR1 in this offense and if CJ Stroud continues to evolve as an NFL passer then there should be enough targets and yardage to go around for all three players to be productive.
Make no mistake, Diggs was brought in to be a compliment to Nico Collins, not to replace him as the top target. Collins's advanced metrics last season were some of the best in the league and he clearly has the trust of his quarterback after playing together all last season.
Look for Collins to be targeted in both the short passing game and down the field, as Houston will look to take advantage of mismatches. Diggs, Dell, and Dalton Schultz should help keep defenses honest this year and prevent them from double-covering Collins.
Draft Nico in the late second or early third round with confidence this season!
