ANALYSIS: Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins was a popular third-year breakout candidate this preseason. The wide receiver has been outstanding for fantasy players. He is the WR15 for the year, averaging 13.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
C.J. Stroud’s arrival has given Collins the franchise quarterback needed to become a fantasy star. The young wide receiver has 60 receptions on 86 targets for 1,004 receiving yards and six touchdowns, all career highs.
Unfortunately, Collins won’t play tomorrow against the Tennessee Titans after suffering a calf injury in the Week 14 loss to the New York Jets. The Texans already lost Tank Dell for the season in Week 13, leaving the team with Noah Brown, Robert Woods, and John Metchie III at wide receiver.
Fantasy players won’t want to start any Houston play this week. Stroud won’t play because of a concussion. Reportedly, Case Keenum will start at quarterback against the AFC South division rivals. Hopefully, Collins and Stroud can return for next week’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
