ANALYSIS: Nick Pratto, the former first-round draft pick, has been one of the few bright spots for the last-place Royals. The 24-year-old did a bit of back-and-forth between Triple-A and the major league club in April, but based on his recent performance, it looks as though he's here to stay.

Pratto has shined in 17 games for Kansas City, slashing .351/.431/.544 with five doubles, two home runs, and 13 RBI. Beware, though, as the 14th overall pick in 2017 has also struck out 20 times in 65 plate appearances.
