BALLER MOVE: Sit in 14-Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-End QB2
ANALYSIS: Vikings quarterback Joshua Dobbs was benched for Nick Mullens in Week 14, and Mullens has been named the starter for the contest against the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday. Assuming Justin Jefferson (chest) plays in Week 15, Mullens will have no shortage of pass-catchers to throw to.
The veteran quarterback has upside surrounded by Jefferson, T.J. Hockenson, and Jordan Addison, but he has thrown just 27 touchdowns in 25 career games since entering the NFL in 2017. Superflex and two-QB league fantasy managers will have to start Mullens, but he's not worth rolling the dice on in the first round of the fantasy playoffs in single-QB leagues.
Despite the Bengals ranking ninth in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks, Mullens should stay on the bench or waiver wire this week. If he delivers a big fantasy day, he could be worth streaming the following week against the Detroit Lions.
