ANALYSIS: Nick Gonzales continues to be one of the most consistent hitters in the Pittsburgh Pirates lineup on a daily basis. Gonzales is hitting .310 in 27 games for Pittsburgh since being called up from Triple-A and has earned the opportunity to start every day at either shortstop or second base.
Gonzales has flashed solid power for a middle infielder with four home runs and has driven in 23 runs from his slot in the middle of the Pittsburgh lineup.
