NHL Waiver Wire Adds: 03/04 to 03/10
"I am excited to assist you in winning fantasy championships in 2024!"
As I analyze the available players for your team, I will pay close attention to those who have potentially been promoted in the lineup, either due to their excellent performance or because of a teammate's injury.
Additionally, I will consider players with an advantageous schedule this week, meaning they face weaker opponents or play in favorable conditions. Lastly, I will keep an eye out for players who could be receiving a boost from an injury, whether it's their own or their teammates, as this could increase their playing time and overall performance.
The trade deadline is this Friday, so it should be an exciting week of rumors, and hopefully, there will be many trades. Let's have a look at a few players who I think will be on the move.
DISCLOSURE: Make sure to monitor the NHL news feeds for the latest player status and injury news.
NHL Waiver Wire Goalies
Marc-Andre Fleury
Opponents this week - Arizona, Colorado
Fleury is rostered in 14.6% of ESPN leagues
It's possible that most of the starting goalies who are likely to be traded are already rostered in your league. For instance, players like Markstrom and Saros have been in demand for a while. However, there is an interesting name that you might want to keep an eye on - Fleury. Despite being a veteran, he has been playing exceptionally well recently, having won four of his last six starts. Although he did have a difficult game against the Jets, Fleury is still a player worth considering.
The Wild are now 8 points out of the final wild-card spot. I believe they will be sellers at the deadline.
If you're looking to tweak your team's roster, Fleury could be a great addition. Keep an eye on the situation and consider making a move if he becomes available in your league.

Opponents - Pittsburgh, Chicago
Mantha is currently rostered in 2.2% of ESPN leagues
Mantha has been performing exceptionally well lately, scoring over 20 goals for the first time since 2018. Currently, the Capitals are six points behind the Flyers for third place in the division but have two games in hand. They are also seven points behind Tampa Bay for the second wild-card spot. I believe the Caps will try to negotiate a contract extension with Mantha this week. Depending on how the talks go, they may decide to trade him before the deadline. Nonetheless, adding Mantha to your fantasy team could be a great move, especially if you are dealing with any injuries.

NHL Waiver Wire Defensemen
Opponents - Chicago, Minnesota, Detroit
Dumba is rostered in 3.3% of ESPN leagues
"I believe that Dumba, a right-handed defenseman, will likely be traded before the deadline. His position and handedness will likely increase his potential value. Although he has only scored 4 goals and 5 assists this season, he has made 130 hits and 83 blocked shots. If he remains with Arizona, he may only serve as a depth player for your team. However, if he were to be traded to a team like the Toronto Maple Leafs, his offensive production could increase while he continues to block shots and make hits. He could be a valuable addition to your team."
