Hey, RotoBallers! I want to introduce myself formally. My name is Jon Irvin. Some of you may know me from the Discord channels, and you know I love breaking down DFS slates, especially in MLB and NHL. I enjoy deep dumpster diving, so to speak, and look forward to helping find the low-owned, overlooked, and unwanted plays.
I predominantly play on DraftKings, so some of my picks are more tailored to their point/price system, but a good spot is a good spot regardless of the platform.
Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends. We're so glad you could attend. Come inside! Today's DFS content will be for the main slate for both DraftKings and FanDuel for Monday, March 17, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. EST. Happy St. Patrick's Day! Unfortunately, tonight's five-game slate features no Patricks or any other significant Irish tie. Let's go hunting for some four-leaf clovers in the value pool.

DraftKings and FanDuel NHL DFS Picks: First Look Stats
After reading this, jump into the RotoBaller Discord NHL channel and chat about today's slate with all the other great minds. Don’t forget to check out our valuable NHL tools, including the NHL DFS Heat Map. I've begun implementing my personal trend chart. This looks at the average between the L25 and L10, weighing the L10 heavier to help find specific positive or negative trends.
DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks
Value in net is key on DK with a three-point bonus at the 35-save mark. We can afford to give up an extra goal or two if our goalie can see a steady shot volume against him. Those extra few hundred can get us those top-line forwards.
Darcy Kuemper - DK $7.8K || FD $7.7K
Opponent - Minnesota Wild
Tonight's slate lacks considerable value in goal and stability. Kuemper's recent form has been great, but unfortunately, his road splits are less desirable. If Darcy can maintain his hot streak, you may find him lower owned than the masses, who will flow to Vasilevskiy or another goalie in a presumed easier matchup.
Others to consider: Marc-Andre Fleury (DK $7.6K || FD $7.5K)
DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks
Cody Glass - DK $3.7K || FD $4.6K
Opponent -Columbus Blue Jackets
Cody has started his tenure with the Devils on fire. With Jack Hughes on the mend, Glass is getting more time on ice in New Jersey than he found skating for Pittsburgh. Centering the third line with power winger Jesper Bratt sets up for a good matchup versus the vulnerable Columbus bottom six.
Others to consider: Anthony Cirelli (DK $4.7K || FD $6.0K )
DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks
Zach Benson - DK $3.7K || FD $4.4K
Opponent -Boston Bruins
What Benson lacks in TOI, he makes up for in incredible metrics while on ice. His uptick in minutes over the last few games should bode well for Zach's xGF, which sits over three and faces a Bruins squad in a downward spiral defensively, with their xGA now at 3.6. Unfortunately, this line has no power play correlation, but Benson is featured on the second PP unit.
Others to consider: Yegor Chinakhov (DK $3.7K || FD $5.4K)
DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks
When selecting defensemen, especially on DK, I tend to find players with a high chance at both blocks and shots and not concentrate so much on point dependency.
Nick Seeler - DK $3.7K || FD $4.2K
Opponent - Tampa Bay Lightning
Philadelphia's blueline has been hampered by injuries for most of the year. Now, with Rasmus Ristolainen on the shelf, the door has opened for Seeler to shine. Known for both shots and blocks, Nick is a discounted stat filler. Facing the Lightning and their heavy shot volume, Seeler has a great chance at reaching the block bonus on DK.
Others to consider: Jake Middleton (DK $3.7K || FD $4.8K)
My top 25 defensemen chart focuses more on shot and block peripherals to find a safer floor over the last month.
