Hey, RotoBallers! I want to introduce myself formally. My name is Jon Irvin. Some of you may know me from the Discord channels, and you know I love breaking down DFS slates, especially in MLB and NHL. I enjoy deep dumpster diving, so to speak, and look forward to helping find the low-owned, overlooked, and unwanted plays.
I predominantly play on DraftKings, so some of my picks are more tailored to their point/price system, but a good spot is a good spot regardless of platform.

DraftKings and FanDuel NHL DFS Picks: First Look Stats

This looks at the average between the L25 and L10, weighing the L10 heavier to help find certain positive or negative trends.
DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks
Value in net is key on DK with a three-point bonus at the 35-save mark. We can afford to give up an extra goal or two if our goalie can see a steady shot volume against him. Those extra few hundred can get us those top-line forwards.
Jakub Dobes - DK $7.2K || FD $7.5K
Opponent - Los Angeles Kings
Following the numbers brings us to young Jakub Dobes, his first four career road starts have been almost pristine, carrying a .978 save percentage and a goal-allowed average under one at.61. Montreal playing in their third game in four days could present a few extra shots against a tired defense.

Jonny Brodzinski - DK $3.1K || FD $3.4K (NOTE: He is labeled as a Wing and not a Center on FanDuel)
Opponent - Boston Bruins
Finding value on a three-game slate is tough, especially when trying to pay up for McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. Jonny B fits the exact spot I'm looking for: a cheap center facing a sieve in the net. Brodzinski and the New York Rangers host Boston, who plans to start a shaky Joonas Korpisalo whose 3.69 GAA .860 SV% road stats are far from desirable.

Corey Perry - DK $3.5K || FD $3.3K
Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks
Finding a linemate of McDavid and Draisaitl under 4K is a steal. I'm a big proponent of the right place right time in terms of production. The aging veteran Perry also finds himself on the second PP unit giving him another opportunity for a point or two.
Others to consider: Charlie Coyle (DK $3.8K || FD $4.7K)
DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks
When selecting defensemen, especially on DK, I tend to find players with a high chance at both blocks and shots and not concentrate so much on point dependency.
Connor Murphy - DK $3.8K || FD $4.8K
Opponent - Edmonton Oilers
Connor Murphy is back from a recent month-long IR stint and presents value from his peripherals alone. A consistent provider of blocks, Murphy faces Edmonton's heavy shot volume giving him a great opportunity to reach the block bonus on DK.
Chicago has been giving up penalties all year, leading to over five minutes nightly on the penalty kill. This bodes well for Murphy, who was given TOI on both PK units in his first game back.
