Hey, RotoBallers! I want to introduce myself formally. My name is Jon Irvin. Some of you may know me from the Discord channels, and you know I love breaking down DFS slates, especially in MLB and NHL. I enjoy deep dumpster diving, so to speak, and look forward to helping find the low-owned, overlooked, and unwanted plays.
I predominantly play on DraftKings, so some of my picks are more tailored to their point/price system, but a good spot is a good spot regardless of platform.

DraftKings and FanDuel NHL DFS Picks: First Look Stats

This looks at the average between the L25 and L10, weighing the L10 heavier to help find certain positive or negative trends.
DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks
Value in net is key on DK with a three-point bonus at the 35-save mark. We can afford to give up an extra goal or two if our goalie can see a steady shot volume against him. Those extra few hundred can get us those top-line forwards.
Filip Gustavsson - DK $7.4K || FD $7.1K
Opponent - Toronto Maple Leafs
Gusty has been night and day referring to home and road splits on the season. Filip has struggled on home ice sporting a 3.18 GAA, yet a stalwart in net on away ice with a 2.05GAA. Tonight Gustavsson faces a tough Toronto team known to fire the puck. As the chart shows us, Minnesota allows a fair share of shots but limits opponents' scoring and high-danger chances providing easier saves. If fading Matthews and Toronto, then rostering Gusty would be the appropriate option for leverage.

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks
Fedor Svechkov- DK $3.2K || FD $4.8K
Opponent - Vancouver Canucks
The Nashville third line has been a favorite spot all year for value no matter who mans the line. The new rendition includes Svechkov centering L3 with wingers Tommy Novak and Zach L'Heureux who have been playing lights out L10 home games. Metrics show that with ample high-danger chances, they have a positive expected goal differential nearing 3 goals!
Being a defensive shutdown line, on home ice, they tend to match up against the opponent's top two lines boosting their minutes. Another bonus is being fully correlated on the 2nd power-play unit as well. Coming in under 10k for a full stack on DK also allows the possibility to spend up for Roman Josi.

Stefan Noesen - DK $4.7K || FD $5.7K
Opponent - Philadelphia Flyers
Noesen has seemingly been in steady rotation as a value winger all year. Nico Hischier may return tonight which will help Stefan against a tough Flyers team that still struggles due to poor goaltending.

DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks
When selecting defensemen, especially on DK, I tend to find players with a high chance at both blocks and shots and not concentrate so much on point dependency.
Jake McCabe- DK $3.6K || FD $4.4K
Opponent - Minnesota Wild
Jake ranks fourth in today's chart when looking at shots and blocks per game over the last month. A steady nightly supplier of peripherals sets the tone for a solid floor for McCabe.
