NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 11/14
Good Evening and welcome back! Yesterday’s slate went according to plan outside of the Penguins getting manhandled by a bunch of kids and their old goaltender prospect. Tonight Boston will have the best matchup along with the Ducks and the Capitals. Those that are entering into the second half of a back-to-back are: Canadiens, Bruins, Penguins, Devils, Rangers, Blues and Canucks.
Players Out
Players Expected Back
Sidney Crosby - C - Pittsburgh Penguins
NHL DFS Goalies
John Gibson- DK $7.9K || FD $7.6K
Opponent - Vancouver Canucks
The Pittsburgh native continued his hot form on Friday with his fifth consecutive win, albeit an ugly win at that. Nevertheless, the netminder has been a force in the net this season and he sports a 2.54 Goals Against (GAA) and a 0.921 Save Percentage. For one of the cheaper goalies going against a rather dry offense, this is a plus matchup.
Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Ullmark(DK $8.6K || FD $7.9K), Samsonov(DK $8.1K || FD $8.3K)
NHL DFS Centers
Ryan Getzlaf-DK $5.4K || FD $5.7K
Opponent - Vancouver Canucks
The veteran center seems to have once again found his stride. In 15 appearances, he has a 1-14-15 line and over his last five games, he has a 1-5-6 line. Getzlaf seems to be gelling well with linemate Troy Terry and he will come into another plus matchup against a Canucks team who is on the second half of their back-to-back.
Dawson Mercer- DK $3.8K || FD $4.5K
Opponent - New York Rangers
The rookie phenom in Jersey is catching fire once again. Over his last three appearances, he has a 2-3-5 line and five shots. He managed to put together one goal and one assist against Boston yesterday and now he gets an even faster-paced Rangers team. It would be very surprising to not see him on the scoreboard.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Bergeron(DK $7.7K || FD $7.9K), Kuznetsov(DK $7.5K || FD $8K), Strome(DK $5K || FD $5.5K), Coyle(DK $3.9K|| FD $4.1K)
NHL DFS Wings
Wings
Troy Terry- DK $5.6K || FD $6.6K
Opponent - Vancouver Canucks
Let’s continue the Ducks and Canucks series, shall we? Troy is playing lights out right now and this is the best form of his career thus far. The wing now has 6.0 goals, 3.0 assists and 15.0 shots over his last five appearances. Going against a Canucks team that does not do well with possession and typically just falls over, this is a perfect smash spot for Terry.
Brad Marchand- DK $7.8K || FD $8.9K
Opponent - Montreal Canadiens
Here we are once again picking on the Canadiens. Marchand is cheaper than his other linemate on DraftKings by $600 and he is in much better form as well. He now has a 4-6-10 line through his last five appearances. Going against a Canadiens team who is also playing on a back-to-back and struggles to keep pucks out of the net, is a prime opportunity.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Ovechkin(DK $9.1K || FD $9.5K), Pastrnak(DK $8.6K || FD $8.7K), Panarin(DK $ 6.8K || FD $7.7K), Henrique(DK $5.8K || FD $5.7K), Buchnevich(DK $3.6K || FD $5.3K), McTavish(DK $2.8K || FD $3.7K)
NHL DFS Defensemen
Defense
Chris Wideman- DK $2.7K || FD $3.5K
Opponent - Boston Bruins
Wideman is nothing to write home about, however, he is at the bottom of the pricing range and he happens to man the top power-play for the Canadiens. If he manages to get a point or two along with his added peripherals like last night, he will easily hit value.
Adam Fox- DK $7.2K || FD $6.9K
Opponent - New Jersey Devils
Fox is by far the definition of consistency when it comes to the Rangers. In 14 appearances he has only scored below double-digits in points three times. He also happens to have a 1-2-3 line over his last two appearances, as well as one-shot and three blocked shots. In a fast-paced matchup, this is a perfect opportunity for him to continue his form.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Hamilton(DK $7.5K || FD $7K), McAvoy(DK $5.8K || FD $6.2K), Parayko(DK $4K || FD $4.2K), Drysdale(DK $3.8K || FD $4.1K), Matheson(DK $3.2K || FD $3.6K)
