Week 9 Tight End Rankings Analysis
Gronk is 100% right now and there is no stopping that man. The only thing that can stop him is an injury but let's hope that doesn't happen. He'll put up a dud on occasion like any star, but he will be in the top two for me rest of the season.
Travis Kelce vs the Jets is an excellent matchup. Bowe + Kelce (and Charles) are the only receivers worth targeting in this offense, they will get their share of targets this week.
I'm expecting Vernon Davis to be healthier following his bye. The Rams aren't the best matchup but if you own him he is startable. Tim Wright had seven targets last week and caught all seven. It looks like he is finally carving a consistent role in this offense. He is a decent start this week. Jason Witten finally had a good game all around last week but I'm not buying just yet. Worth owning but I still don't feel good about starting him.
The Bengals are the second worst team against tight ends. That doesn't make Jags TE Clay Harbor a great play but if you're desperate, he's not a bad option. The same goes with Rams TE Lance Kendricks who now has four touchdowns in his last five games. Austin Davis loves looking for him if his first target is covered in the red zone.
Good luck in Week 9 RotoBallers!
