Week 8 Quarterback Rankings Analysis
I'm expecting Green Bay vs. New Orleans to be a shootout, the sky is the limit for both Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. Tony Romo has been rolling lately and this week vs Washington is possibly his best matchup yet. I'd start all Cowboys with confidence. Jay Cutler hit a wall last week and had his first bad game (fantasy-wise at least) all year. He doesn't have a great matchup this week either but still has an excellent group of receivers which makes him a decent play.
Ryan Tannehill has been really good since his job as a starter came into question. He faces the Jags this week and they have been pretty good defensively lately but with the way he has played lately I feel really good about him in Week 8. Matthew Stafford gets a really nice matchup this week but the fact that it's in London with an early start time makes me wonder if that will be an issue at all. That said, it will be hard not to start Stafford vs the Falcons. On the other end of that game I want no part of Matt Ryan. The Lions are an elite defense this season and Matt Ryan's offensive line is battered. Things could go very poorly here.
Two quarterbacks make their first start of the year this week. Zach Mettenberger is set to start for the Titans. It probably can't be much worse than Locker/Whitehurst but this is a 6th round pick we are talking about. He's probably better than that but it remains to be seen if he has the talent to keep this job. Colt McCoy will start for the Redskins against Dallas. He looked good last week in a very conservative offense. The Cowboys are tough, I would avoid.
Good luck in Week 8 RotoBallers!
