Week 11 Quarterback Rankings Analysis
No big surprises in my top five this week. I think everyone in the top five is an elite option. The only difference for me is having Brady ahead of Luck, but I expect both to have awesome games as they duke it out in Week 11.
Philip Rivers should bounce back this week, and it looks like my fellow rankers agree. I saw a lot of worry on Rivers following his dreadful game against the Dolphins, but he should be fine. Matthew Stafford looked strong against that same Dolphins D this past week in Calvin Johnson's return. Arizona is another tough matchup, but I'd say this one is actually a bit easier, so owners should start him with confidence.
I think there is a pretty big dropoff after QB7 this week. I give Kaep and Wilson a bump for their mobility. For whatever reason, the Giants had no idea how to handle Wilson's mobility last week, and Kaep should be able to take advantage of that, as well. Ben Roethlisberger gets another good matchup, but he reminded us last week why he is not an elite fantasy QB. He's a fine start here, but we are past the "on fire" stage.
Mark Sanchez certainly impressed last week, but it was an ideal matchup and ideal game flow, with the Eagles defense setting him up wonderfully early on. This is a tougher matchup, but he looked good enough that I'd feel confident in starting him if I needed to. On the other end of that Monday Night game was Cam Newton, and he looked horrible. He has a great matchup once again, but how can you feel good about him? Until we see the dominant performance that we'd come to expect from Cam in these matchups, I'm worried.
Robert Griffin III is one guy I want to rank higher, but I just don't trust him. In two full games, he has 22 points, which is what he used to earn on a weekly basis. He is running a little, but not enough to make him a top-tier fantasy asset.
Moving onto streamers, Josh McCown is my top pick this week. He showed he was capable of getting the ball to his top guys last week, and he has another good matchup here. Andy Dalton was probably dropped in some leagues and should bounce back. The Bears defense has crumbled the last few weeks-- Teddy Bridgewater isn't a great fantasy QB at this stage of his career, but with the matchup against Chicago, you could do worse.
Good luck in Week 11 RotoBallers!
