NFL Power Rankings: Where Do All 32 Teams Stand After Free Agency?

Jalen Hurts - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

With free agency in the rearview mirror, it is time to look ahead to the NFL Draft. Several teams still have plenty of holes to fill, while many contenders will only continue to add to their riches. This is an exciting time for NFL fans as it can provide optimism or dread for the upcoming season.

The Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles have earned the right to hold the top spot on this list. However, things get a little murky behind them. With so many young, up-and-coming teams in the NFL, the competition is about as good as it could possibly be. Additionally, with so many promising young quarterbacks around the league, excitement should only continue to grow.

Of course, we still have our basement-dwelling teams on this list. The Cleveland Browns and New York Giants come to mind with very little going for them. Still, the draft can change many fortunes. While we will revisit this list following the NFL Draft, let's dive in and see where teams stand post-free agency.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

No. 32: Cleveland Browns

The Browns are cash-strapped with their horrible Deshaun Watson contract. However, convincing defensive end Myles Garrett to re-sign this offseason was a huge deal, considering he requested a trade. Cleveland has a path back to relevance, but the road could be long.

No. 31: New York Giants

The Giants need to figure out who will be slinging the rock this season. They have been actively exploring the free agent market but have yet to land on any takers. Additionally, with the No. 3 pick, they could still miss out on both Cameron Ward and Shedeur Sanders.

No. 30: New Orleans Saints

The Saints appear to be in purgatory. They keep kicking the can down the road with endless restructures and fake contract years. They did not do much to inspire confidence in free agency beyond signing safety Justin Reid.

No. 29: Tennessee Titans

The Titans are in a great position right now. They own the No. 1 pick in the draft and seem poised to improve upon their disastrous 2024 season in 2025. Playing in a weak division certainly helps, and this team could find itself around 0.500 this season.

No. 28: Jacksonville Jaguars

New head coach Liam Coen has his work cut out for him in 2025. After shipping wide receiver Christian Kirk and tight end Evan Engram out of town, this offense suddenly finds itself devoid of playmakers beyond wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr.

No. 27: New England Patriots

The Patriots were big spenders in free agency. By landing defensive tackle Milton Williams, this team has demonstrated that they are not messing around. If they add a couple of playmakers in the NFL Draft, they will be competitive this season.

No. 26: Las Vegas Raiders

With head coach Pete Carroll in town, the Raiders should be competitive. No one is clamoring for them to win the AFC West, but they should challenge teams throughout the season. They have also temporarily solved their quarterback problem by trading for Geno Smith.

No. 25: New York Jets

The Jets signed quarterback Justin Fields this offseason and seem committed to moving well beyond the Aaron Rodgers fiasco of the last couple of seasons. New head coach Aaron Glenn is clearly eager to put his stamp on this team.

No. 24: Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers seem to have found something in quarterback Bryce Young and can now build towards the future. They lost out on defensive tackle Milton Williams in free agency, but they plugged a few holes overall and can now look forward to nailing the draft.

No. 23: Indianapolis Colts

The Colts made a relatively big move by signing quarterback Daniel Jones to compete with Anthony Richardson. Richardson has the talent to win the job but Jones has shined in the past. This will be an interesting team to watch, with a GM and head coach fighting for their jobs.

No. 22: Chicago Bears

New head coach Ben Johnson has wasted no time making changes to this team. Johnson seems like he is trying to build the Detroit Lions 2.0. He may very well be successful at doing so if quarterback Caleb Williams is all that.

No. 21: Atlanta Falcons

With Michael Penix Jr. entrenched as the starting quarterback in Atlanta, the Falcons are ready to usher in a new era. This could be a sneaky good team in 2025 if everything breaks correctly. The offense should at least be excellent.

No. 20: Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals are an enigma. They are building a lot of talent and a legitimate culture under head coach Jonathan Gannon. Yet they continue to underachieve. Their success this season depends on the ability of quarterback Kyler Murray and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. to get on the same page.

No. 19: Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are still waiting to see who will be their starting quarterback in 2025. The addition of wide receiver DK Metcalf is a big one, but who knows how well this offense will ultimately play? It feels like another nine-win season could be brewing for this team.

No. 18: Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks have been busy this offseason. Quarterback Geno Smith has been swapped out for Sam Darnold, and wide receiver Cooper Kupp was swapped in for DK Metcalf. This team is retooling in a way that will either result in high-end success or a serious crash and burn.

No. 17: Houston Texans

The Texans have jettisoned most of their starting offensive line from 2024 this offseason. They have not done much to replace those players, but this could be done by addition or subtraction. Still, they will need to find someone to protect quarterback C.J. Stroud before he develops serious bad habits.

No. 16: Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys have once again done almost nothing to improve their team this offseason. It appears they will carry their contender delusion into the regular season once again.

No. 15: San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers appear to be at a crossroads. They experienced a mass exodus of defensive players and traded longtime stud wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. to the Washington Commanders this offseason. It would not be far-fetched to believe this team will finish last in the NFC West once again in 2025, but let's see how well they do in the draft.

No. 14: Miami Dolphins

The success of the Dolphins hinges on the health of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. When Tagovailoa plays, this team wins games. If he stays healthy for the entirety of the 2025 season, this team could challenge for a divisional title.

No. 13: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs are in a great position to succeed in an interesting division in 2025. The Falcons and Panthers are both young and intriguing teams, while The Saints are entering a new era. The Bucs have steadily improved by one win in each of the last three seasons, but they have done so in a weak division. They could very well win the NFC South once again or tumble down the standings. Only time will tell.

No. 12: Denver Broncos

The Broncos have steadily improved throughout this offseason. They made a huge splash on defense by adding safety Talanoa Hufanga and they made an underrated addition on offense with the signing of tight end Evan Engram.

No. 11: Los Angeles Chargers

The AFC West is very good all of a sudden. The Chargers could very well win the division this season on the back of quarterback Justin Herbert in year two of the Jim Harbaugh era. Look for a big step forward from the team this season.

No. 10: Green Bay Packers

The Packers will return many of their key players in 2025. They play in a tough division, but they have a franchise quarterback in Jordan Love, who has led them to the playoffs in two straight seasons. Let's not forget that this was an 11-win seven-seed in 2024.

No. 9: Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals re-signed star wide receiver Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase this offseason. This offense should not skip a beat. The question is what this defense can do in 2025. With pass rusher Trey Hendrickson flirting with a trade, the Bengals need to figure out what they are going to do on the defensive side of the ball so that they may challenge other teams in the AFC.

No. 8: Los Angeles Rams

The Rams made their biggest move of the offseason when they reworked quarterback Matthew Stafford's contract. Everything from there was icing on the cake as they added Davante Adams to their wide receiver core. This team is a legitimate Super Bowl contender in a loaded NFC.

No. 7: Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings are entering the J.J. McCarthy era. The Vikings boast a Super Bowl-caliber roster and have done well to improve along the offensive and defensive lines. If McCarthy plays well, this is a sneaky team to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl next season.

No. 6: Washington Commanders

Quarterback Jayden Daniels is poised to take a big leap forward in year two. The Commanders have spent much of free agency addressing their offense and will now look toward their defense in the NFL Draft. This team is coming.

No. 5: Detroit Lions

The Lions lost several assistant coaches to promotions around the league this offseason. Still, this team will march ahead with an excellent opportunity to repeat their past success. The Lions are still loaded on offense and will get plenty of defensive players back from injury in 2025.

No. 4: Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are in a great position to succeed once more in 2025. By adding wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in free agency, this offense should continue to hum. The re-signing of offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley will also ensure that quarterback Lamar Jackson is protected.

No. 3: Buffalo Bills

The Bills entered the offseason with few holes. They have responded by re-signing several of their own players and adding pass rusher Joey Bosa on a very team-friendly deal. The Bills should run their way through the AFC East once more. Is this the year they finally break into the Super Bowl?

No. 2: Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs were embarrassed in the Super Bowl, but this team has the makings of a team that is ready to go back. They did not make any flashy free agent signings, but they re-signed offensive guard Trey Smith and signed left tackle Jaylon Moore. If Moore works out and Kingsley Suamataia succeeds on the interior, this team will be formidable in 2025.

No. 1: Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles lost several veterans on defense to free agency but have drafted so well in recent years that it does not seem to matter. This team continues to reward its stars and has built an unbelievable culture. The Washington Commanders await in the NFC East, but the Eagles are built about as well as anybody in the league.
