We're set for a big Saturday night preseason slate that could feature some teams playing their starters for a relatively extended amount of time. As usual, trying to gauge playing time in exhibitions ahead of kickoff is a tricky endeavor, so we'll try to focus on players who have reason to be in for an appreciable amount of snaps.
Both DraftKings and FanDuel give us opportunities to play DFS during the preseason. Both sites will have a uniform price for the players during the preseason slates. You will play a 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex, and 1 Defense on each site. As customary, DraftKings utilizes full PPR scoring, while FanDuel utilizes half PPR scoring.
Here you will be provided with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for Week 2 of the NFL preseason on 8/19/23. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Thanks for reading, and good luck RotoBallers!

Preseason NFL DFS Picks – Quarterbacks
Anthony Richardson, IND vs. CHI
Anthony Richardson and the Colts are in an interesting scenario entering this second preseason game. The rookie first-round pick has been named the starter to open the regular season already, but he's also badly in need of as many live game reps as he can get ahead of that opportunity.
Richardson got to see these same Bears during joint practices this week and got good work in by all accounts. However, it would stand to reason head coach Shane Steichen will want to see how his starter holds up against those same defenders in an actual game setting.
Richardson put up a relatively robust (by preseason standards) 12 pass attempts in his debut last week and carried twice. He could well take another step forward in both workload and production with another week of reps under his belt and the confidence that comes with having been named the winner of the job battle between him and Gardner Minshew.
ALSO CONSIDER: Stetson Bennett, LAR vs. LVR
Preseason NFL DFS Picks – Running Backs
Emanuel Wilson, GB vs. NE
Emanuel Wilson was one of the feel-good stories of the first full week of preseason. The undrafted free agent went off for 111 yards and two touchdowns on just six carries, outperforming a primary competitor for a roster spot, Patrick Taylor. The strong showing could well warrant an even longer look Saturday from a Packers team that will undoubtedly look to protect its top two backs in Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon as much as possible.
Deuce Vaughn, DAL at SEA
Deuce Vaughn has been turning heads at Cowboys camp all summer and proved capable of carrying that momentum over into game action during his pro debut against the Jaguars last week. The diminutive back gained 50 rushing yards and a touchdown on eight carries and added three catches for six yards.
Vaughn is a dynamo in a space that's likely to once again face mostly third- and fourth-string defenders and already paced Dallas in carries in the preseason opener. This is a combination of factors that's good enough to render him a solid preseason pick in all formats Saturday.
ALSO CONSIDER: Deon Jackson, IND vs. JAX

Preseason NFL DFS Picks – Wide Receivers
Trey Palmer, TB at NYJ
Trey Palmer has made his presence felt this summer with his blazing speed at Buccaneers camp, and he then put up a 4-33-1 line in his first game as a professional versus the Steelers last week. The rookie sixth-round pick was a 1,000-yard receiver at Nebraska last season.
He then notably beat Sauce Gardner on a deep route in joint practice Wednesday. The same session in which Russell Gage was lost for the season with a torn patellar tendon. That injury already boosts Palmer's fantasy prospects going into the regular season, and he could see a solid amount of run again Saturday in preparation.
Puka Nacua, LAR vs. LVR
Puka Nacua delivered as a suggestion last week by scoring a touchdown on one of his three catches against the Chargers. The rookie fifth-round pick caught that ball from Stetson Bennett, who turned in a highly productive night in his own right and could once again see extended playing time Saturday.
Nacua is a highly versatile asset that the Rams could potentially use in multiple roles during the season. Another night of a solid amount of snaps could well be in store for the BYU product as Sean McVay and staff try to optimize how to deploy him come the regular campaign.
Rashee Rice, KC at ARI
Rashee Rice had a couple of rocky moments during the Chiefs' preseason opener against the Saints on Sunday, but the rookie second-round pick still made three receptions for 30 yards. The SMU product should continue to benefit from the ongoing absence of Kadarius Toney (knee).
This has already allowed him to get more training camp opportunities. Rice has a prolific body of work from his college days that underscores his playmaking chops, so seeing him enjoy a strong night as KC continues to ramp up for another title-defense season wouldn't be surprising.
ALSO CONSIDER: Jalen Tolbert, DAL at SEA
Preseason NFL DFS Picks – Tight End
Zack Kuntz, NYJ vs. TB
Zack Kuntz found the end zone in his first game as a pro, recording a four-yard touchdown grab on one of his two catches and gaining 13 on his other catch. His size/speed combo is exactly the type of skill set that could play well in the second half of preseason games against a lower caliber of competition.
The rookie seventh-round pick is no lock to make the roster. He should get an extended look Saturday and will be fighting to once again make an impression while likely working with the quarterback that tossed him that score, Tim Boyle.
ALSO CONSIDER: Jake Ferguson, DAL at SEA; Payne Durham, TB at NYJ
