After 17 regular season games and two postseason rounds, we are down to the NFL's "final four." While Conference Championship weekend always makes for an excellent viewing experience, it does offer some DFS challenges, as we only have two games worth of players to choose from and few exploitable matchups. That said, this DraftKings slate is jam-packed with explosive offensive options which should lead to some exciting DFS action.
This week's DraftKings lineup recommendations are based on matchups, projected DK points and ownership, overall upside/talent levels, and opportunity, as well as factors such as Vegas odds, home-field advantage, and more. There are quite a few great plays available on DK for the Conference Championship slate.

Conference Championship DraftKings Top Play - Quarterback
Brock Purdy - DET at SF ($6,400)
Last week's Divisional round wasn't a pretty one for Purdy, as he routinely missed throws and looked out of sync against the Packers. However, the Niners signal caller draws the mother of all bounce-back spots against another NFC North squad this week. Detroit was the NFL's most prominent pass-funnel defense during the regular season, finishing the year allowing the league's fewest rushing yards but fourth-most passing yards.

The Lions have continued to get blitzed through the air in the NFL Playoffs, allowing 716 passing yards and five TDs in their two postseason outings. If we toss last week's dud against the Packers aside, Purdy was the NFL's most efficient quarterback this year. He was the only QB in the league to throw for over 4,000 yards on fewer than 500 attempts. Thanks to Detroit's solid run-stopping unit, Purdy should see an uptick in attempts in this one, which should lead to a big DFS day against this leaky Lions secondary.
Conference Championship DraftKings Top Play - Running Back
Isiah Pacheco - KC at BAL ($6,500)
While he's officially listed as questionable as of this writing, I fully expect Pacheco to suit up in this clash of the AFC titans. The second-year back has been a true workhorse for KC in the postseason, as he's averaged nearly 21 touches per game in the team's two playoff wins while totaling 186 rushing yards and two TDs.

When we reach the Conference Championship round, there are often very few weaknesses to target, and that's especially true of the Baltimore Ravens. However, they have been more generous on the ground than through the air this season, allowing a chunky 4.47 yards per carry to opposing running backs in 2023. The Chiefs have been content to let Pacheco do their offensive damage in the Playoffs and he should once again flirt with 20 touches in this matchup.

Conference Championship DraftKings Top Play - Wide Receiver
Amon-Ra St. Brown - DET at SF ($7,900)
We expected ARSB to feast on the Bucs' secondary last week and he did indeed eat, lighting up Tampa Bay for an 8/77/1 stat line on 14 targets. St. Brown now has six consecutive games with at least 100 receiving yards and/or a TD. He's as consistent as they come at the WR position and he should once again get all the targets he can handle against the Niners in a game in which the upstart Lions could be playing from behind.

While San Francisco is by no means a terrific matchup for the Lions slot man, it's not a spot to shy away from on this slate. The Niners finished 2023 as a middle-of-the-road unit against the WR position, allowing 2,514 yards and 16 TDs to enemy wideouts.
Conference Championship DraftKings Top Play - Tight End
George Kittle - DET at SF ($5,300)
Wow... I don't recall ever seeing a Conference Championship weekend with a better group of tight ends. From the G.O.A.T Travis Kelce to upstart prodigies Sam LaPorta and Isaiah Likely, as well as a returning-from-injury Mark Andrews...this is a position stacked with elite options.
However, the tight end with the best matchup is undeniably San Fran's George Kittle. With Niners wide receiver Deebo Samuel sidelined for much of last week's game, the Iowa product played with his hair on fire in the Divisional round, smashing Green Bay for 81 yards and a score on four catches.

Though the banged-up Samuel is expected to give it a go this week, I look for Kittle to remain very active in the Niners passing attack in a smash matchup against Detroit. The Lions have hemorrhaged production to the TE position this season and finished the regular season allowing the seventh-most receiving yards in the NFL to opposing tight ends. Kittle can be a volatile producer thanks to San Fran's plethora of offensive weapons, but I'm willing to bet on his upside in this situation and would even feel comfortable rolling him out as a FLEX option on DraftKings for this slate.
