Minimal Weather Impact

Both conference championship games will have minimal weather impacts on Sunday.

Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles (Sunday, 1/19 at 3:00 p.m. EST)

It'll be a little bit breezy when the Washington Commanders travel north on I-95 to face the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. High temperatures will be around 40 degrees, but winds will be sustained at 15 miles per hour (mph). Gusts could reach as high as 31 mph during the game.

Unlike last weekend in Philadelphia with the snowstorm, there's a zero percent chance of precipitation on Sunday. That's great, but the gusty winds could still have an impact on the deep passing game as well as the kicking games for both teams. If you need to decide between a kicker in both games, maybe roll with Tyler Bass or Harrison Butker in Kansas City where it'll be a bit less windy.

The Eagles will almost certainly look to lean on Saquon Barkley once again. However, the Commanders are fresh off a game in which they scored 45 points, meaning Jalen Hurts might be forced to throw it to keep up in what could be a sneaky track meet between these two ball clubs. Whatever you do, do not sleep on Jayden Daniels and this Commanders offense.

Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs (Sunday, 1/19 at 6:30 p.m. EST)

No weather concerns here. Well, it'll be cold, but isn't that typical for this time of year in the Midwest? High temperatures will hover around the mid-20s for kickoff with sustained winds at just 6 mph. Gusts will top out at 14 mph and there's just a 1 percent chance of precipitation.

So, while it'll be frigid, that alone won't have much of an impact when these two teams face off in the AFC Championship. This game features a 48-point over/under with a two-point spread in Kansas City's favor. Expect a competitive contest between two of the best teams not only in the AFC but in the NFL.

This will be Patrick Mahomes' seventh consecutive conference championship appearance. In his previous six, he's averaging 292.7 passing yards and 2.5 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Josh Allen has played in just one conference championship and that was in 2020 against Mahomes. He threw for 287 yards and two touchdowns in that game.

Expect these two quarterbacks and their respective passing attacks to be busy on Sunday given the relatively favorable weather conditions.

Neither of the two conference championship games will experience severe weather on Sunday.
