Nelson Agholor (WR, NE) - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 3

ANALYSIS: It feels good to have Nelson Agholor back. No, I'm not entirely talking about his explosion in Week 2, but rather the full two-week package he's brought to the table in full. A stinker, then an absolute bomb of a game last Sunday. That's Agholor for you, the preternatural boom/bust player that, somehow, is still only rostered in one of every 100 Yahoo leagues out there!

Obviously, that near-zero rostership is at that figure for a reason: Agholor had a stinky 3.8 PPR-point debut for the 2022 season. Obviously, that near-zero rostership should never be at that figure for a reason: Agholor is coming off a top-10 WR tally of 23 PPR points this past weekend.

Agholor (58%) played more than half of all Patriots' snaps in W1 and was targeted enough as to end the game with more than his measly 3.8 PPR points. He could only get 28 yards on three-of-five receptions and he also fumbled a ball. Definitely not the performance you dream of. Then, Week 2 happened, Mac Jones was somehow available and fit enough to play, and Agholor exploded for 23 PPR.

The result isn't surprising because Agholor already did it a few times last season. The widout is coming off a near-perfect game in which he went 6-for-6 on receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown. Maybe two scores would have turned that line into a ridiculous, perfectly rounded one, but it's not that you can ask for much more than those 23 fantasy points from someone who is barely – if at al – rostered in any league these days.

The logical move is to add Agholor to your roster from your league's WW. Keep in mind, though, that the Patriots offense is definitely not going to hand him tons of chances to explode like this (mediocre WRs but a lot of them, two capable TEs) and the QB isn't what you call MVP-level, but still.
