BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: The former first-round draft pick is entering his age-28 season, coming off an underwhelming performance in 2013. Don't let his lack of production last year fool you, though-- here's a guy at a really thin position who will not hurt you in any category, and as a member of a fairly potent Pirates lineup, he has a chance to substantially improve on last year's numbers. With double-digit HR power and a solid .265+ BA projection, he's the kind of player that you can roster at MI and forget about. Walker isn't a sexy pickup-- he doesn't have the upside of a Jedd Gyorko or an Aaron Hill, but he doesn't come with the risk either. Add him with the confidence that you know what you're going to get, because players like that aren't so easy to find on the waiver wire.
