It's Week 9 – to cut bait, or to hold on? Many have cut bait on their mid-round players, which makes one man's trash your treasure. With injuries tearing up many fantasy squads right now, you need these middle ground guys more than ever, so take advantage of what the wire has to offer before its too late.
This year, we're tossing out our old convention of separating waiver wire posts into positions, and instead, we're separating them into of league -- standard, shallow, deep, etc. The NBA is trending to positionless basketball, so we at RotoBaller should too.
For standard (10-12 team) league adds, we use a general rule of thumb of an ownership rate of under 50% on Yahoo. All position eligibility based on Yahoo leagues.

Standard League Adds for Week 9
Caris LeVert, SG/SF – Brooklyn Nets
Ownership: 41%
11.3 PPG / 3.6 REB / 3.8 AST / . 425FG%
A popular sleeper heading into this season, Caris LeVert is finally showing his potential. Since December started, the offense has been flowing through LeVert and Spencer Dinwiddie, and LeVert is producing at both ends of the floor, making him a solid player with plenty of upside for the long term.
His numbers have seen a firm uptick since the flip of the months, and his once horrid shooting percentages are finally climbing their way back up to decency. He is putting up 14.2 points and 6.2 assists over the last two weeks, and is hitting 1.5 three-pointers per game over the stretch. He is also coming away with 1.3 steals per game while adding in a block here and there. With his minutes finally entrenched close to 30 MPG, LeVert is a safe bet to return value form the waiver wire.
Wilson Chandler, SG/SF/PF – Denver Nuggets
Ownership 41%
9.4 PPG / 4.6 REB / 2.3 AST / .420 FG%
While battling a debilitating back injury for much of this season, Wilson Chandler has disappointed many fantasy owners and has seen his ownership rates plummet as a result. However, there is reason to believe his back problems are behind him and that he will be able to produce steady value this season, as he has posted back to back 18 point games, and is starting to fill the stat sheet out again.
Over the last week, Chandler is scoring 13.8 PPG while shooting .465% from the floor with 2.0 3PM. He has been playing a lot of minutes at PF, and he is grabbing 5.0 rebounds per game while adding in 1.0 assists and has even gone perfect from the free-throw line. Chandler played a season-high 37 minutes on Sunday, so that shouldn't be a problem, as the Nuggets are struggling through some injuries right now, and his positional flexibility gives him an extra bump of value.
Trevor Booker – Philadelphia 76ers
Ownership 34%
10.5 PPG / 6.7 REB / 2.1 STL / .532 FG%
Trevor Booker is a sneaky value big man, who can play himself into a useful role with his new team if he keeps up the pace. Since being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, Booker has put up 13.3 points with 7.3 boards per game. While these are decent numbers, he is showing his value by shooting .652% from the field and a wonderful .909% from the charity stripe.
While averaging just 21:40 MPG since joining the 76ers, Booker has given a nice boost to their second unit, and his defense has been a nice addition, chipping in 1.0 steals and blocks per game. Booker isn't the hottest commodity, but he is a solid big with opportunity, who is worth picking up over one of the many other frustrating big men in this league. I'd rather have him than the likes of Marquese Chriss of JaMychal Green at this point.
