We know you just want to get to the picks. If you're still playing fantasy basketball, congratulations.
For many leagues, it's championship week or the semifinals. Don't be too rigid on who you look to pick up on the waiver wire. Study your opponent. See where you can pick up an advantage. Sometimes it is not about picking up the best player on the waiver wire, but rather the player who can help you in a statistical category where your team struggles.
As a reminder, for standard (10-12 team) league adds, we use a general rule of thumb of an ownership rate of under 50% on Yahoo. All position eligibility based on Yahoo leagues.

Standard League Adds for Week 24
Quinn Cook, PG – Golden State Warriors
Ownership: 48%
7.3 PPG / 2.0 REB / 2.0 AST / .473 FG%
With Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson out, there has to be someone for the Warriors who has to score points. For the last two weeks, it has been Cook.
The point guard from Duke has averaged 19.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.5 threes per game. That's top-30 production at the most important time.
The Warriors have all but clinched the two-spot in the Western Conference playoffs, so there is no rush to bring back any of its big four.
It means good news for Cook and owners who picked him up early. With his ownership at only 48 percent, there are still plenty of teams who could use him.
John Henson, PF, C – Milwaukee Bucks
Ownership 40%
8.8 PPG / 6.9 REB / 1.4 BLK / .575 FG%
In the opening paragraph we discussed players who can fill weaknesses during the playoffs, Henson is one of those players. The Bucks big man is averaging 1.5 blocks for the season. Over the last two weeks, he has continued his impressive rim-protection, but has chipped in a variety of other categories. Henson has scored 9.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists.
This is the kind of player who will win you a fantasy basketball championship.
Trey Burke, PG – New York Knicks
Ownership 35%
12.2 PPG / 4.0 AST / .526 FG% / 1.0 3PT
If there was any question on what Burke can bring to the table, he answered that and much more on Monday. Maybe it was a feeling of nostalgia from his time at Michigan as the Wolverines head to the Final Four or maybe it was the opportunity to finally get quality minutes, whatever it was, Burke showed out, scoring 42 points and 12 assists.
If you prefer a bigger sample size, Burke has averaged 18.4 points, 4.9 assists, 2.8 rebounds, 1.8 threes, and 1.0 steals in the last eight games. He played a whopping 41 minutes on Monday, but even before that his minutes were on the uptick, playing over 25 minutes in his last four games.
Burke is pulling in mid-round value. His worth to you, however may be priceless.
