NBA Injury Updates for Fantasy Basketball

By J.smith (Own work) [CC-BY-SA-3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0)], via Wikimedia CommonsKevin Durant (SF/PF) – Oh no! The Best in the West didn't play on Friday night! Without Durant and Westbrook, OKC will surely lose! Oh wait..they won by 18 points.

Durant left Wednesday's game with a sore shoulder, yet he told the post-game interviewing that it was “nothing”. Apparently it was just that, because he returned last night to play 43 minutes and drop 32 points. Durant should be all systems go moving forward.

Tyreke Evans (SG/SF) – After missing three games due to an ankle injury, he again finds himself on the injury list. He missed Friday's game, and is out with the flu. This wouldn't be a big deal if he stayed healthy for most of the season, which hasn't been the case. Expect him to be back next week.

Kawhi Leonard (SG/SF) – On Wednesday, Leonard bent his finger on the shoulder of another player. Unfortunately, it's broken, which means he'll be out for several weeks. Ouch! That's the third man down for the Spurs. The waiver wire landscape is quickly changing. Players that were junk minute bench warmers are now going to be pushed to the forefront. Look out for Boris Diaw as a potential hot free agent.

Rudy Gay (SF/PF) – There's nothing serious going on with Rudy's left Achilles. A reporter for the Sacramento Kings has Gay as “possible” for Sunday's game. This is great news for owners, as Sunday was the earliest estimated return date.

Demarcus Cousins (PF/C) – KXTV ABC-TV, Sacramento, has him as “unlikely” for Sunday. His left ankle is still swelling, and this will be his second game out with the injury. Just keep an eye on further updates.
