NBA Fantasy Shopper: DFS Lineup Picks for DraftStreet

PG: Nick Calathes ($8,710): Filling in for the injured Mike Conley, Calathes has provided two straight solid fantasy outings.  He followed up a 22-point, 5-rebound and 3-assist game with an 8-point, 3-rebound, 3-assist and 4-steal game against the Thunder.  With Conley expected to be out a few more weeks, Calathes should continue to see full minutes at point guard for Memphis.  In their matchup tonight, the Grizzlies face a Dallas team that gives up nearly 103 points a game and is one of the worst in the NBA against opposing point guards.  Look for a big night for a low price.

rotoballer-fantasy-basketball-advice-demar-derozanSG: DeMar DeRozan ($14,745): A newly minted all-star, DeRozan has stayed hot after missing two games with a foot injury.  In his last three games he has averaged 26 points, 5.6 assists and 3.6 rebounds a game.  He should also see a slight bump with Kyle Lowry a bit banged-up coming into tonight's game.  DeRozan should also be able to exploit a Kings defense that gives up an awful 103.8 points a game and allows teams to shoot 37% from deep.  Even at an increasing cost, DeRozan should be a great play tonight.

SF: Rudy Gay ($16,078): If you believe in revenge games, then be sure to buy in on Gay tonight.  The former Raptor gets a chance to play against one of his former teams tonight.  Along with that, he has been extremely productive as he has scored 95 points in his last four games while also combining for 18 assists and 27 rebounds in that time.  DeMarcus Cousins is back in the lineup but that has only helped Gay to take pressure off of him.  Even though Toronto has the fourth-ranked defense in the NBA, a home game against a team that cast him off should be motivation enough for the Kings wing to exceed his price tag.

PF: Serge Ibaka ($15,762): When Russell Westbrook when down for the second time this year, a ton of pressure was put on Ibaka to be the team’s second option.  He has more than stepped up to that role, as he is scoring 18 points a game over his last two weeks while also grabbing 8 rebounds and swatting 3.1 shots a game.  The Thunder and Wolves game should be an extremely high-scoring affair, as both teams average over 105 points per game and the Wolves are coming in on a back-to-back.  With Kevin Love also being a bit banged-up, Ibaka should again have a good shot at a double-double and 4-5 blocks.

C: Andre Drummond ($17,068): The young Pistons center has continued to prove his fantasy value over the past few games.  Drummond has three straight double-doubles while also blocking at least two shots in each game.  He is posting just short of 13 points and 13 rebounds a game on the season, while also being a defensive machine at 1.9 blocks and 1.4 steals per contest.  Tonight he plays a Magic front line that has improved with the return of Nikola Vucevic, but they still struggle to rebound and also permit opponents to block six shots a game.  A double-double with 3+ blocks is almost a lock for Drummond tonight.

U: Robert Sacre ($4,932):  The loss of Pau Gasol has opened up big playing time for Sacre.  In the Lakers game last night, he got the start and put up 14 points and 4 rebounds in 31 minutes of action.  Compare that to the just 17 minutes that Chris Kaman played, and it seems fair to say that Mike D'antoni will be giving the former Gonzaga big man most of the time at center.  The matchup with Cleveland is not great, as Anderson Varejao has returned and will make scoring tougher down low, but a starting center who is likely to get over 30 minutes at this price is pure fantasy gold on almost any night.

U: Kevin Martin ($10,815):  Revenge game number two features Martin against his former employer in Oklahoma City.  Prior to last night, he had been in a bit of a funk, but Martin lit up the hapless Lakers for a season-high 32 points while also chipping in 4 assists and 3 rebounds.  He has struggled against the Thunder this year in three games, with 9, 17 and 24 points in his three games against OKC this year.  Look for him to want to prove himself tonight and put up over 20 points.
