The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power or flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, January 10.
Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks
Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day, as other props may be added during the day.
Chet Holmgren OVER 7.5 Rebounds - Numbers trick us every day. People succumb to projections, causing their confidence to wither as they stare endlessly at their parlay ticket. However, today marks the exception. Coming into Wednesday night's match with the Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder starting center Chet Holmgren averaged a mere five rebounds spanning the last five contests.
Despite the Heat's commendable 21-15 record, the 2023 NBA Finals follow-up ranks 26th in rebounds. Aside from the surprisingly low rebounding stats, I suspect the Heat and Thunder battle in a tight-knit match, ultimately leading to Holmgren covering the over on 7.5 rebounds.
Bruce Brown OVER 2.5 Assists - What will become of the Indiana Pacers without the historically efficient point guard skills of Tyrese Haliburton? While the Pacers' record will likely dip without Haliburton's services, perhaps a delay in misfortune is in order as the Pacers play the embarrassingly lousy Washington Wizards on Wednesday. Bruce Brown's time with the ball will only increase regardless of who starts at point guard.
Brown averaged 2.9 assists in his last 10 outings, coincidentally not a far cry from the 2.5 assists line for Wednesday's game. Knowing Rick Carlisle's offense, especially without a star in the lineup, I expect the ball to spread like a good rumor as the Pacers play hot potato against a poor defense in the Wizards. I say all of that to say this: bang the over on 2.5 assists for Brown on what should be a successful night for Indiana.
Nikola Jokic OVER 9.5 Assists - At this point in the two-time MVP's career, betting against Nikola Jokic should come with a surgeon general warning for your wallet. Typically, Jokic helps cash in at hitting the over, especially regarding rebounds and assists, evidenced by the 25.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.2 assists averages. Recording double-digit assists twice in his last five outings only increases the assurance that Jokic will cover the over on 9.5 assists.

Moreover, the 2023 NBA Finals MVP recorded a triple-double in his last game against the Utah Jazz, bringing home the case for bettors to again succeed on behalf of Jokic's impressive post-championship campaign.
Victor Wembanyama OVER 21.5 Points - How does a team follow a drastic loss despite holding a 20-point lead? More importantly, what if the team in question is the Detroit Pistons? In what will go down as one of the worst NBA campaigns in the league's history, another bad team, albeit a storied franchise, the San Antonio Spurs face the Pistons as the latter suits up in a second night of a back-to-back sequence.

For a team with a median age of 23.4, cries of fatigue fall short of excusable. However, as we speak of incompetency in its purest form, perhaps a game vs. the 5-30 Spurs would help boost the Pistons' self-esteem. But wait, this isn't the injured-and-battered Spurs team of last season. How dare a bettor ignore the possibilities of future star Victor Wembanyama against the league's laughingstock. For the sake of sound logic, take the over on 21.5 points for Wembanyama and witness the Pistons fanbase's morale further descend into misery.
