NBA DFS Prop Picks for PrizePicks: Thursday, January 6th

The 2021 NBA season is underway and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best and easiest to win NBA DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, January 6th.

Featured Promo: Our friends at PrizePicks are hooking you up. Single Stat NBA Totals

Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day as other props may be added during the day.

Cameron Johnson UNDER 15.5 Points - Today I'll be focused on a trio of Suns, starting with Cameron Johnson's points prop. I'll be taking the under here, which comes in at -120 on sportsbooks as I'm writing this. While Johnson has hit this in three of his last five, he's hit it in just four of his last ten and at a 22% clip over the course of this season. Johnson will be starting at the power forward spot with Jae Crowder out, and the Clippers are very good against power forwards, ranking 2nd in power forward efficiency. They allow -2.6 points below the league average to power forwards, and my early projections have Johnson logging 14.2 points tonight.

Chris Paul OVER 4.5 Rebounds - I see great value in this line, and so does Vegas with this one coming in at -132 on sportsbooks as I write this. While CP3 has hit this number at just a 46% clip this season, he's hit it in eight of his last ten, including seven straight. The Clippers struggle against point guards, coming into this one 24th in point guard efficiency and allowing +0.3 rebounds over the league average to point guards. My early projections have Paul slated for 5.4 rebounds, with him keeping his 5+ rebound streak going.

Devin Booker OVER 2.5 Three-Pointers Made - The fact that this number is only at 2.5 somewhat surprised me at first, and Vegas currently has this prop at -140. Booker has actually only hit this number at a 46% clip on the year, but has been heating up of late. He's knocked down at least three three-pointers in four of his last five and eight of his last ten. The Clippers are actually rather solid against shooting guards as well, ranking 5th in shooting guard efficiency and allowing -0.4 three-pointers per game to the position. However, my early projections have Booker at 3.5 three-pointers made, so I'll ride with the projection value here and I'll most definitely be tuning into this game tonight.

Other Recommendations - Marcus Morris Sr. OVER 17.5 Points, Brandon Ingram OVER 4.5 Assists, Devin Booker OVER 5.5 Rebounds, Marcus Morris Sr. OVER 1.5 Three-Pointers Made

Overall recommendation for this play: FLEX
