The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power or flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, January 22.
Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks
Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day, as other props may be added during the day.
LaMelo Ball OVER 21.5 Points - Although I respect the Las Vegas oddsmakers who provide us with the necessary information for betting purposes, I sometimes look at a line and think, "How could they possibly think of such a number?" LaMelo Ball's points-scored prop for Monday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves is a recent example of when Vegas pushes the envelope.

Conversely, I understand the respect for the best defensive rating holder. However, despite Minnesota's elite defensive acumen, holding Ball's scoring number at a shockingly low 21.5 points invokes feelings of defiance. Ball scored over 21 points in three of his previous five contests. I think choosing the over on 21.5 points for Ball is safe.
Devin Vassell OVER 1.5 Turnovers - Oh, Devin Vassell, here we are again. My last two entries became a spoiled mess with much thanks to Vassell's inconsistencies. However, unlike the other prop bets, this line has nothing to do with scoring. As Vassell faces the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday evening, put this stat in perspective: he recorded four turnovers against the unserious Washington Wizards. Imagine what a contender like the Philadelphia 76ers will do with the young and unproven Vassell. Pound the over on him coughing up the ball over 1.5 times.
RJ Barrett UNDER 1.5 3-PT Made - While I never saw RJ Barrett as a force to reckon, many figured a change of scenery would do the Duke alum good. Regardless of how his move to Toronto looks in the big picture, for now, he's a meh shooter who hasn't recorded over 1.5 three-point shots in a single game in his last five outings. While I'm typically prone to going against the grain, such a cold shooting streak deserves more attention. Tap the under on 1.5 three-point shots made.
Jeremy Sochan OVER 0.5 Blocks - Counting on Jeremy Sochan to record a block is similar to waiting for the sunset; it will happen whether you watch it or not. Sochan failed to record a block on only one occasion in his last five games.
After settling back to his natural position, it’s hard to argue that Jeremy Sochan hasn’t improved 👀
Over his last 15 GP, he averages:
•30.1 MPG
•12.5 PPG
•6.0 APG
•3.7 RPG
•0.8 SPG
•0.6 BPG
•1.5 TOPG

Sochan's valiant defensive effort enables the forward to block shots on the perimeter and in the paint. Tap the over on 0.5 blocks for Sochan.
