NBA DFS Prop Picks for PrizePicks: Friday, March 22

Jayson Tatum - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball, NBA Injury News

Lance Roberson presents his Fantasy Score NBA DFS prop picks on PrizePicks for Friday, March 22. Use Lance's NBA prop picks recommendations to win money on PrizePicks.

The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power or flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people; you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER,' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, March 22.

Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks

Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day, as other props may be added during the day.

Gary Trent Jr. UNDER 3.5 3-PT Made - Friday night features a few juicy props courtesy of PrizePicks. The first of which comes to mind is Gary Trent Jr.'s 3.5 three-point shot converted prop. The Toronto Raptors play the sixth-best defensive rating Oklahoma City Thunder, which automatically suggests, in my opinion, hitting the under on Trent Jr.'s three-point conversions. However, Trent Jr.'s three-point shooting has hit the over on the 3.5 line in three of his five past outings.

With that said, aside from one contest, three of the aforementioned five game-stretch feature less-than-stellar defensive units. Ultimately, going by the facts presented, I suggest taking the under on Trent Jr.'s three-point shots.

Chet Holmgren OVER 1.5 3-PT Made - On the heels of a monstrous 35-point, 14-rebound performance, Oklahoma City Thunder center Chet Holmgren is on quite the run. Aside from the 1-5 shooting against the Utah Jazz on March 20, the Rookie of the Year candidate was an efficient 7-13 in three-point shooting in his previous four outings. Battling the Raptors on Friday evening, a team in NBA purgatory as a unit simply not bad enough to get a top pick but also lacks the mediocrity to earn Play-In Tournament status in the Eastern Conference.

The line set for Holmgren's Friday prop sits at 1.5 three-point shot conversions, which is pretty low considering the rookie covered such a line in three of the past four games. Despite having a paint presence, the Raptors' center depth chart lacks versatility defensively, leaving me to project Holmgren will cover the over for 1.5 three-point shots made.

Jayson Tatum UNDER 28.5 Points - Although Jayson Tatum won't receive legitimate MVP buzz, the Boston Celtics All-Star ripped through the league in light of his 30 points averaged through Boston's previous five games. Tatum is due for a lower point total after scoring 31 points on the Milwaukee Bucks (albeit without Giannis Antetokounmpo).

As the Celtics play the hopeless Detroit Pistons on an otherwise fun Friday night of hoops, I project Tatum's team to pick up the slack, causing No. 0 to score less than the 28.5-line PrizePicks provided.

Jeremy Sochan OVER 2.5 Assists—Remember when Gregg Popovich tried to make Jeremy Sochan the starting point guard for a team featuring Victor Wembanyama? Although it was a doomed idea, Sochan has multiple games proving he can accumulate assists, evident in his three assists average over his last ten outings. Are you still not convinced to consider taking a Sochan prop bet? Considering the Spurs' positional Swiss army knife assists numbers are better in the past four games, averaging four per contest, I say taking the over on 2.5 assists for the former starting point guard isn't a bad bet.
