Worth the FanDuel Investment
Tyreke Evans (NO, G) - $8,000
Tyreke Evans has been absolutely fantastic for the New Orleans Pelicans as of late. In the absence of Jrue Holiday, the Pelicans have turned to Evans to run the offense. As a result, Evans has all the driving opportunities he could hope for, and is racking up plenty of assists and rebounds to compliment his scoring. In his last six games, Evans has averaged 19.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 1.5 steals. Evan’s three-point shot as well as free throw shooting remain items to be desired. However, his main value in fantasy is his ever-presence on the basketball court. Evans is consistently flirting with triple doubles, enticing us with the possibility of finally nabbing one when we do in fact roster him. Evans will continue to dominate the ball as the Pelicans face the warriors on Tuesday. Even if Golden State manages to suppress Evan’s driving lanes, he should pick up plenty of assists. It’s a lot easier being a point guard when you have Anthony Davis to lob and feed the ball.
Honorable Mentions: Dwayne Wade (Mia, G), Zach Lavine (Min, G)
Andrew Wiggins (Min, F) - $7,000
Andrew Wiggins looks to be a great pick on Tuesday in a rather nice pool of players at the small forward position. This is great for FanDuel players, as it seems like investing more heavily at the small forward slot and looking for a bargain at the second power forward position could be a good strategy to go with on Tuesday. Wiggins is playing extremely well and is solidifying his campaign as the run-away Rookie of the Year. Whether or not he can become a good player on a good team remains to be seen, as analytics will tell us that his presence on the court isn’t exactly helping Minnesota all that much. Wiggins is producing a lot of empty stats. His numbers however, are admittedly eye-popping and will serve extremely well for fantasy purposes. In his last eight games, Wiggins is averaging 22.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.8 blocks. Wiggins should have no problem putting up a great fantasy line on Tuesday against the Sacramento Kings.
Honorable Mention: Kawhi Leonard (SA, F)
DeAndre Jordan (LAC, C) - $9,000
The center position has some interesting quirks for Tuesday’s games. Demarcus Cousins is by far the most expensive option, while the drop-off is huge if you pass on the better centers. I believe that the best value you will find here is DeAndre Jordan, who has a pretty good matchup against the weak big men presence of the Los Angeles Lakers. Jordan has of course been doing Jordan things. His rebounding has been incredible. His blocks have been reliable. The scoring uptick that he has provided this year has been great for his value. Daily fantasy lineups can be sure to take advantage of his matchups and play him against weak big man defenders who just can’t handle his overwhelming size and athleticism. In his last eight games, Jordan has averaged 13.3 points, 15.1 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 2.3 blocks. I’d also like to point out that Demarcus Cousins is slightly overvalued by his large amounts of turnovers that could potentially damper an otherwise spectacular fantasy night. Jordan does not have that issue at all and will rarely make more than one or two turnovers per game. Look for Jordan as a solid addition to your fantasy lineup on Tuesday.
Honorable Mention: Enes Kanter (OKC, C)
DFS Sleeper Picks
Ben McLemore (SAC, G) - $4,300
I always like to look for bargains in the shooting guard and power forward positions. It comes down to doing your research and hoping for someone to have a hot hand. You need these lottery tickets if you want to win in a larger pool, and McLemore looks to be a great pick on Tuesday. His numbers have been great in his past few games, and his matchup against the Timberwolves also helps his case for potentially being the most undervalued player of the night on FanDuel. In his last three games, McLemore has averaged 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.3 steals. McLemore has the ability to put up a great fantasy line against the worst defensive team in the league in the Timberwolves. At the very least, McLemore should look to outplay his investment price.
Honorable Mention: Anthony Morrow (OKC, SG)
