NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – FanDuel Advice for 3/2/15

All throughout the 2014-15 NBA campaign, RotoBaller will be analyzing the top NBA DFS lineup picks and providing our expert advice for the best sleepers at the guard, forward and center positions. Below are our favorite FanDuel DFS picks for March 2nd, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Worth the Investment

Ricky Rubio ($7,500)

Since February 11th, Rubio has played six games and delivered over 30 minutes and 32 fantasy points in all of them. With the trade of Mo Williams, Minnesota is left with Rubio as the only true point guard on their team, and he has responded with three double-digit assist games, five double-figure scoring games and multiple steals in five of six outings. The Wolves are one of top teams in the league in terms of pace, and they tend to play high-scoring games-- this game with the Clippers will not be an exception. With Chris Paul focusing on his own offensive game, Rubio should be able to run wild tonight.

Draymond Green ($7,300)

The forward position is a barren wasteland tonight, with most studs off or injured. That leaves Green as tonight’s top option due to his consistency and high upside. On the season, Green is averaging 30.7 fantasy points a game with a stellar fantasy line of 11.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.6 steals per night. This will be the Warriors fourth game in five nights, so the possibility exists that Steve Kerr will rest veterans like Andrew Bogut, David Lee and Andre Igoudala. The young Green should continue to feast on a Nets defense that is near the bottom in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing small forwards.

DeAndre Jordan ($9,700)

On a small slate with few top options, it's almost a must to own Jordan tonight, a guy who is playing some of the best basketball of his career. With Blake Griffin sidelined, the Clippers have turned to Jordan to carry the front court load, and he has done so with nine straight games of double-figure rebounding. With an incredible four games of 20+ rebounds, he can almost hit value without a single field goal, which is a great help. Jordan’s fantasy game also benefits from his poor free-throw shooting as the Hack-a-Jordan strategy can help him get into double-digit scoring. Throw in a few blocks and a steal against a poor Wolves interior defense, and you quickly have the recipe for a monster fantasy game. Fade Jordan at your own risk.

Top Sleepers

P.J. Tucker ($5,100)

Despite an incredibly consistent game log, Tucker hasn't seen a huge jump in value. Prior to the 17.2-point performance in his last game, Tucker has gone over 20 fantasy points in nine straight ball games, taking advantage of the trades of Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas. The matchup with Miami is not a stellar one, but on a small slate with few viable small forward options, expect Tucker to be one of the most popular plays on the board. He is generally not a GPP stud, but Tucker is a very steady cash game option.

Jamal Crawford ($5,700)

As you can tell, I will be targeting what should be a high-scoring game between the Wolves and Clippers. Crawford isn't your typical bargain play, but with injuries to J.J. Redick and Matt Barnes, the Clippers will be playing with a very short bench. He doesn't generally contribute much outside of points, but against the defense of Kevin Martin, Crawford should get well over his average of 16.5 points per night. If you are feeling adventurous, Austin Rivers is minimum salary, and though he comes with a very low floor, Rivers should have increased minutes time due to absence of healthy bodies.
