Worth The FanDuel Investment
James Harden (G, HOU) - $11,000
Fear the beard. Especially if you play for Phoenix. Coming off a stellar 50 point, 10 rebound performance, Harden is poised for an effective encore. Do not be afraid of his price tag, as The Beard is in the zone.
Pau Gasol (F, CHI) - $8,900
Gasol’s numbers lately have been a bit lower as compared to his season average, but he is due to bounce back against a Detroit Pistons team that struggles against opposing power forwards. Despite playing in back-to-back games, Gasol only saw 28 minutes of court time Friday night. He should be rather fresh for a big game against Detroit. Expect him to be the top earner at the power forward position Saturday.
Eric Bledsoe (G, PHO) - $8,300
Harden and Bledsoe are the most expensive options at the two-guard position by far, but they’re also the best choices to have maximum production Saturday night. Phoenix’s frenetic pace plays into both guards’ hands. Bledsoe looks to get plenty of assists, while Harden should continue to get to the charity stripe at a high rate.
Reggie Jackson (G, DET) - $7,400
Most pundits are down on Jackson due to his price as compared to his value, but Saturday night should see his value optimized. With Aaron Brooks running the point, the Bulls have been quite forgiving to opposing point guards. Chicago has yielded 46.6 FDPPG over their last ten to point guards, which is third worst during that span. Jackson should take advantage.
Brandan Wright (C, HOU) - $5,600
That cat is out of the bag: the Houston Rockets' matchup with the Phoenix Suns should be targeted Saturday. Vegas predicts the game to be the highest scoring of Saturday night. Wright offers great value against a Houston team that struggles to defend big men. As a starter in two games this season, Wright has recorded a ridiculous 176 Orating, 88 DRating, and yields a +20 in the +/- category. Granted that is a small sample size, but they have occurred over the last two games while filling in for an injured Alex Len. Ride his hot streak. Of course, you will have to be vigilante in checking the status of Len pre-game.
DFS Sleeper Picks
Mike Dunleavy (F, CHI) - $4,200
Though Taj Gibson has returned from injury and offers intriguing value, Dunleavy has scored 21 points and recorded a total of 62.6 FDP in each of his last two games It appears he has finally hit his stride, as the decimated Bulls need scoring from anyone. The former Duke standout played only 29 minutes on Friday night, so like Gasol he should be relatively fresh against the Pistons.
Dante Exum (G, UTA) - $3,500
Consider this Exum’s last chance with many fantasy pundits. He is simply too talented to continue putting up duds like he has recently. Here’s hoping that Golden State’s offensive pace helps Exum’s game as he continues his role as Utah’s starter.
