Welcome back, RotoBallers! While the Celtics managed to jump out to a 2-0 series lead Sunday, there is plenty of intrigue surrounding a pivotal Game 3 with a serious injury concern popping up for Boston and the series also shifting to American Airlines Center. Single-game lineup construction is a little bit different than your typical DFS slate, as it include a 1.5x multiplier Captain's spot on DK that carries elevated salaries for each player, and MVP (2x), STAR (1.5x), and PRO (1.2x) spots on FanDuel, where player's salaries are the same regardless of roster spot.
The key to being successful in NBA DFS comes down to making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available, but it's always really important to have a game plan and to have the best players and spots circled first before making those adjustments. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and also gain access to our RotoBaller Premium Discord, where @chiefjustice6 is talking about the slate up until lineups lock!
This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/12/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 8:30 p.m. EDT on FanDuel and DraftKings. Good luck, RotoBallers!

Today's NBA DFS Core Picks (Captain/MVP/STAR)
As alluded to before Game 2, there's going to be little incentive to consider anyone other than the following trio of players for the top multiplier spot during these NBA Finals, as they are the clear-cut heart and soul of their team's respective attacks. Luka Doncic, even with his list of mounting injuries, continues to be my top overall choice, especially after scoring 72.8 DK/65.7 FD points in Game 2 despite now dealing with a thoracic contusion in addition to his nagging knee and ankle issues.
Jayson Tatum continued to struggle with his efficiency on Sunday, going just 6-of-22 from the floor. However, he offset those struggles with elite facilitating, dishing out 12 assists on his way to 49.8 DK/46.8 FD points. Odds are Tatum's shooting improves at least slightly Wednesday, especially considering he was actually a better all-around performer on the road this season.
Jaylen Brown continued to be the picture of consistency in Game 2, scoring 40 DK/39.3 FD points while shooting 53.3 percent. The elite wing now has three straight three-steal tallies as well, and if Kristaps Porzingis' leg injury keeps him out or limits him, it's worth remembering Brown has a team-high 29.9 percent usage rate with Porzingis off the floor this postseason.

- Jayson Tatum, BOS at DAL – SF/PF ($17.4K DK; $15K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks (Utility/PRO)
Jrue Holiday was in many ways the story of Game 2, stepping up his offensive production to shoot an unfathomable 78.6 percent overall on his way to 50.8 DK/49.7 FD points. The veteran guard also pulled down 11 rebounds, and he's another member of Boston's first unit that would benefit from a Porzingis absence.
Derrick White bounced back from a sub-30-fantasy-point effort in Game 1 to record 38.8 DK/41 FD points in Game 2 while shooting 40.0 percent from three-point range. While White is only a combined 11-of-26 from the floor overall in the first two games, he just recorded three steals and two blocks in Game 2, a reminder of his ability to complement his other production with great defensive play.
P.J. Washington continued to serve as the Mavericks' most reliable fantasy producer next to Doncic in Game 2, producing 29.3 DK/28.9 FD points while shooting a serviceable 46.2 percent. The versatile big man has flashed a ceiling north of 40 fantasy points on multiple occasions this postseason, and he could therefore offer an excellent return on investment yet again while playing in front of the home crowd.
JRUE HOLIDAY = DIFFERENCE MAKER 💯
His play has been invaluable to Boston all year long!

Top Utility/PRO Plays:
- Jrue Holiday, BOS at DAL - PG ($7K DK; $12K FD)
- Derrick White, BOS at DAL - PG/SG ($7.4K DK; $11K FD)
- P.J. Washington, DAL vs. BOS - PF/C ($6.2K DK; $10K FD)
ALSO CONSIDER: Al Horford, BOS at DAL - PF/C ($5.6K DK; $9K FD)
Today's Top NBA DFS Avoids
I continue to not have much game-to-game confidence in any Mavericks player beyond Doncic, Irving, and Washington, even the likes of Derrick Jones Jr., Dereck Lively II, and Daniel Gafford, although the latter has more upside than his other two teammates at this point. Deploy them in tournaments only if you must.

Here is where I leave you with some of my favorites.

- My favorite CASH play on the slate: Jayson Tatum
