NBA Daily Leagues Expert Picks for 11/14 (DraftStreet)

NBA Expert Picks for DraftStreet - 11/14/2013

With only two games on the slate we will look at one player per position who will likely outperform his price.

PG: Raymond Felton ($12,475): Tonight Felton faces a Houston team that just surrendered a triple-double to backup Sixers' point guard Tony Wroten who was filling in for Michael Carter-Williams.  Felton has struggled this season, averaging only 12.5 points and 5 assists a game, but the cure for any guard to break out is the defense of Jeremy Lin, Patrick Beverly and James Harden.

SG: Andre Iguodala ($14,265): When the Warriors signed Iguodala this offseason they had hoped to get a playmaking guard who could help take pressure off of Steph Curry.  Through eight games, that is exactly what they have gotten.  Iguodala has filled the stat sheet with 14.3 points, 5.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals a game.  Golden State has averaged 104 points a game and is playing an Oklahoma team that gives up over 100 a game, so stats should be easy to come by with Iguodala collecting most of them.

SF: Omri Casspi ($8,277): Casspi has been a bit erratic this year with his play, but the sharpshooter provides perfect balance for a team with James Harden slashing and Dwight Howard down low.  Casspi got more time last night with the injury to Harden, and he came through with 16 points while tossing in a steal and a few boards.  Casspi does not get a ton of run most nights, but as one of the top scorers on the team's second unit, he always has the ability to score in bunches.

PF: Serge Ibaka ($14,980): No player missed Russell Westbrook more than Ibaka. In the three games Wesbrook was out, Ibaka averaged just under 9 points game, however in the four games since Westbrook's return, Ibaka has almost doubled that.  Ibaka has also settled in on defense as he had three consecutive games of 3 blocks last week.  Against a Knicks front line of Carmelo Anthony and Andrea Bargnani, Ibaka should have a field day.

C: Dwight Howard ($19,520): Sometimes you have to make sure you don’t overthink your decision, and with so few options tonight at center it is probably best to take the sure thing in Howard.  Through nine games this year, Howard has lived up to all the expectations people had for him this year.  The last two games may have been the most impressive, as in those games he put up a combined 41 points, 39 rebounds and 11 blocks. With James Harden ailing, the Rockets will keep feeding their new big man against an awful Knicks defense.
