FanDuel DFS Guards
Ishmael Smith (vs BKN, $6,700)
Ish Smith has really lost his consistency since landing in Philadelphia, but he is still worth a look in tournament lineups. In his last four games, he has two games under 25 fantasy points and two games over 40 fantasy points. If that doesn't scream inconsistency, I'm not sure what does. He is a very effective scorer, and the Sixers rely heavily on his offense to produce. The Brooklyn Nets are horrendous against opposing guards, so Smith should have one of his better games tonight. It is never a sure thing with him, so do not throw him into 50/50 contests, but definitely do not pass up his low price tag in tournaments with a great matchup.
Wayne Ellington (at PHI, $3,900)
Wayne Ellington is still too cheap as far as I'm concerned. I understand that he has not been all that impressive of recent, but he is still playing around 30 minutes per game for the Brooklyn Nets, and that is enough to warrant using him in tournaments. Ellington only need around 20 fantasy points to hit value, which he has done in two of his last five games. Tonight, he gets a fantastic matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, who are horrendous on defense. Ellington is going to see some wide open shots; it is just up to him to knock them down. If he gets hot from the three-point line, look out. He has not been consistent enough to use him in 50/50 contests, so avoid him there, but use him in tournaments, as he provides a ton of salary relief.
FanDuel DFS Forwards
Nicolas Batum (vs WAS, $6,000)
Is Nicolas Batum finally back in form? That is still questionable, but he did just post over 40 fantasy points in his last game, which was against the Miami Heat. Batum is one of the best small forwards in the league, and he should be able to score rather easily tonight against the Washington Wizards. If the Wizards struggle guarding one position, it is the small forward position. Batum has been dealing with some nagging injuries, so his price tag has dropped significantly. Honestly, using him in tournaments is almost a must, and it'll be difficult to avoid him in 50/50 contests with a price tag so low and upside so high. I would hesitate to sign off on using him in 50/50 contests tonight, but if he fits, go for it.
Harrison Barnes (vs OKC, $4,300)
Harrison Barnes is very similar to Wayne Ellington tonight, but he has more upside. Barnes plays huge minutes for the Golden State Warriors, but he is often overlooked in favor of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson. He does produce from time to time. In two of his last four games, he has over 20 fantasy points. He only need around 21 fantasy points to hit value, and that could definitely happen tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook and going to do their best to defend Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, which should leave both Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes open. Again, do not use someone like Barnes in 50/50 contests, but he provides a ton of salary relief in tournaments.
FanDuel DFS Centers
Gorgui Dieng (vs CHI, $5,600)
Gorgui Dieng is the best center option on the board tonight, as he plays the Chicago Bulls. In his last game, which was against the Los Angeles Clippers, Dieng did not impress, but he should be able to turn his game around tonight. The Bulls are one of the worst teams in the league against opposing centers, and Dieng has huge upside. In his last four games, he has 19, 29, 33.7, and 45 fantasy points. His price tag is a little bit low considering his upside, so he makes for a solid tournament play. He is almost definitely going to double-double, but he needs to get his shot blocking and assisting working if he wants to really excel. Dieng is consistent enough to use in 50/50 contests as well.
