BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 17% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota's starting center and perhaps its only viable fantasy player, announced his COVID positive back on Jan. 15th. Assuming he's out 10-to-15 days, the soonest he would come back is next Monday, although most probably he will stay out for the week or at least until next weekend. With KAT out, the Wolves have been forced to rely on second-year man Naz Reid because there are literally no more options in their roster to throw into the paint. And the truth is that Reid has been far from bad.
Reid has started the last three games, all since KAT got off, and is playing an average 27 MPG in that span. Facing Atlanta (twice) with Orlando sandwiched in the middle, Reid has put up an average 12-4-1 line to go with 2.7 BPG, including 7 combined in just the last couple of games. The usage, reasonably, is quite low (14.5%) now that he's part of the starting unit and logging first-line minutes, but Reid is shooting 64.2 percent from the floor on a rather healthy 8 FGA per game considering his not-so-big importance among Wolves players.
I think Reid was already a good value to roster in deep leagues as part of Minnesota's rotation, but if you can get him for this week as a starter you can get a slightly higher return from him. Anyway, Naz is putting up a solid 11 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 1.2 APG on the year, starting or not. Reid is one of only two players logging fewer than 25 MPG and a usage rate below 20% while still scoring 10+ PPG, pulling down 4+ RPG, and getting 1+ BPG. The other one? 6MOY candidate Chris Boucher.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
