NASCAR Truck Series: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for Darlington LiftKits4Less.com 200 (5/7/21)

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is set for some Friday action this week at Darlington Raceway!

The Trucks continue to be dominated by Toyotas, as all seven races have been won by one. Kyle Busch Motorsports drivers have won five races in a row. But things could be different this week, as we've got a Cup driver-less race on our hands and a race that was won by a Ford last year.

Here at RotoBaller, we want to help you make informed decisions about your DFS lineups, which is why I'll be breaking down the slates for the Truck Series. Let's look at some NASCAR Truck Series DFS lineup picks for the LiftKits4Less.com 200 on DraftKings. Be sure to also check out our NASCAR Premium Tools for Truck Series including our DFS Lineup Optimizer and powerful Research Station.

John Hunter Nemechek #4 ($11,000)

Starting 1st

Kyle Busch is not racing this week. That means Nemechek should be considered the overwhelming favorite to win this race and lead a ton of laps in the process.

He's already won twice this season, including a win at Richmond where he 114 laps. Take the weird dirt race out of the equation and JHN has led double-digit laps in every race this season. He's consistently near the front.

Nemechek hasn't run a Truck race at Darlington, but this track is the site of his only non-superspeedway Cup Series top 10, though it should be noted he struggled in the other two races he ran here. Still, this is the best truck in the series and Nemechek might just blow this race open.

Parker Kligerman #75 ($10,400)

Starting 36th

I love the idea of pairing Nemechek with Kligerman this week, because you get the laps led potential of JHN with the huge place differential upside of Kligerman.

This will be Kligerman's fourth race of the season. He has two top 10s so far, plus a 14th at Atlanta. He's shown an ability in this 75 truck to drive up through the field. In eight races last season, he had an average starting spot of 31st and an average finish of 15.9. Of all the drivers starting at the back, Kligerman by far has the most upside.

Kligerman was 14th in his one Truck Series start here, and an average finish of 18th here in Xfinity. Not a ton of experience at this track, but he's run solidly when here.

Bayley Currey #44 ($8,600)

Starting 38th

Currey made his first Truck Series start of the season last week, piloting a Niece truck to a 12th-place finish. He ran as high as third.

This week he moves into the 44 truck for Niece, and I guess because the 44 has a different driver this week, the formula for starting put it 38th on the grid. Ross Chastain piloted this truck to a second-place last week.

Niece isn't as good at a place like Darlington as they are on the 1.5-mile tracks, but this is still a top 20 truck, and Currey could easily get another top 15.

Corey Heim #51 ($6,900)

Starting 13th

I'm going to be as honest as I can be here: I don't know anything about Corey Heim, aside from the fact that he is not Corey Haim.

I mean, I know he's running ARCA this year, but I haven't had time to sit down and watch any ARCA races.

The numbers look good, though. Through four ARCA races, his worst finish is third at Kansas. He's won twice, though both were superspeedway races. He's got a lot of late-model experience, but none of it actually at Darlington, which is a tough track to race.

But still. This is the 51 truck for Kyle Busch Motorsports. The person driving this truck has finished first or second in five consecutive races. The only race without a top 10 was the Daytona road course, with Parker Chase at the helm. At $6,900, I think it's worth the risk of playing a first-time driver since we know this truck has race-winning speed.

Danny Bohn #30 ($6,800)

Starting 27th

Bohn's always a risky play, but these more physical tracks like this seem to suit his driving style. He's run well at Martinsville, for example, and had a top 20 here last year.

Bohn's the ultimate "meh, whatever" driver. He doesn't run particularly well. He has his share of struggles. But he also comes into this race with some solid place differential upside, and the 30 truck isn't as bad as a lot of the other cheap trucks. This is my "be different" play of the week: not many people are going to want to play Bohn, so if you do and he can have a solid run, you'll be rewarded.

Ryan Reed #24 ($6,200)

Starting 19th

Reed just kind of popped back up out of nowhere. After not running a race in a top-three series all of last year, the former Roush Fenway driver ran a couple races this year for CMI Motorsports. And maybe just because he was back in the garage area and making connections, that resulted in him landing a ride this week in a GMS truck.

So, now we have a veteran driver -- even if his career results have been mediocre -- driving a GMS truck who's priced at $6,200? And who starts 19th, which offers some decent place differential upside since, again, this is a GMS truck?

Oh yeah, inject some Ryan Reed into my veins.

In Xfinity, Reed had an average finish of 15.4 here in five races. No top 10 finishes in there, but he had some solid runs here compared to other tracks. At this price, I'm taking a chance on him.
