The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series heads to Bristol this weekend for a tripleheader weekend. This is the first Truck Series race since Aug. 25, when Layne Riggs earned his first career victory at Milwaukee.
It's also the second race of the playoffs. We're currently in the Round of 10. Two drivers will be eliminated after this round, which ends next week at Kansas Speedway, setting the stage for the Round of 8.

Christian Eckes - $10.5K
Christian Eckes is the favorite to win the Truck Series championship right now. His average finish this year is an absurd 5.8 and he's finished outside the top 10 just once all year. It's just wild how dominant Eckes, who is set to move up to Xfinity next year, has been.
He's also won here at Bristol, leading 144 laps in the race here earlier this season. He came up just short of winning this night race in 2023, leading 150 of the 200 laps but finishing second.
Corey Heim - $10.0K
Corey Heim has been part of a pretty clear top two with Eckes this season, but he's faltered a bit lately, finishing outside the top 10 in two of the last three races. Still, he has five wins and an average finish of 8.1 this season. He won this race in 2023 and has never finished worse than 10th at Bristol in the Trucks.
Ty Majeski - $10.2K
It felt like the Eckes and Heim show forever, but here comes Ty Majeski, who is currently second in points behind Eckes. He's won twice in 2024 and has posted 11 top-10s. He suffered a mechanical failure in the first Bristol race this season, but he won this night race back in 2022, leading 45 of 200 laps.

Mid-Tier NASCAR Trucks DFS Lineup Options
Layne Riggs - $8.3K
It looks like Layne Riggs has finally put it all together. After an uneven start to his time in the Front Row Motorsports No. 38 truck. He has six top-10s this season, but three of those have come in the last three consecutive races, all top fives and capped off by his first win.

— NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks (@NASCAR_Trucks) August 26, 2024
Over the first nine races of the season, Riggs had just one top-10. That one came at...Bristol! So, he's on a hot streak right now and also is at a track where he's shown he can run well.
Taylor Gray - $9.0K
It's been a really good year for Taylor Gray. In his first full season in the series, Gray has 10 top-10s through 17 races, though he's still hunting his first win. He comes into Thursday with top fives in three of the past four races. He's finished in the top 10 in his past two Bristol starts as well, including a fifth-place finish in this race in 2023.
Connor Zilisch - $9.4K
Last weekend, Connor Zilisch ran his first Xfinity Series race at Watkins Glen and was dominant, leading half the race and winning in that debut. He's a star on road courses, but can he put it together on an oval? He's won five oval races in ARCA, but the step up into the Truck Series is tough. Still, a top 10 is definitely in play, with the upside for more.
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Sleeper Picks
While it's way past time to talk about Matt Crafton being on the decline, Bristol is the kind of track where he can still showcase his old-school driving mentality.
Excited to have @MrPeanut on board the No. 88 @MenardsRacing Ford F-150 tomorrow night at @ItsBristolBaby 🥜⚔️

In fact, Bristol was the site of his only top five this season, as he finished fourth here back in March. He's finished in the top 10 in seven of his past eight races at this track.
Kaden Honeycutt - $6.9K
Kaden Honeycutt has run really well in this Niece Motorsports truck. In eight starts this season, Honeycutt has four top-10s and just one finish lower than 14th. His strong qualifying runs have kept him from having too much fantasy upside, but if he starts outside of the top 10 on Thursday night, then I'll probably play a ton of him.
Jack Wood - $6.0K
Jack Wood's not the greatest driver and has yet to record a top-10 finish through the first 10 races of the season, but he has a decent average finish of 18.4 and has been 16th or better in four of his last five starts. He's struggled at Bristol in the past but he is worth playing when he's just $6.0K.
William Sawalich - $7.3K
Every time William Sawalich straps into his ARCA car, he's a threat to win. But that hasn't been the case in the Truck Series this year, as his average finish is just 19.0. Still, Sawalich is a talented driver who is going to get everything together at some point. At this price point, Sawalich is worth taking a shot on.
