NASCAR DFS Prop Picks: Wise Power 400 - Monkey Knife Fight

Sunday afternoon features the Wise Power 400. The race takes place on a 2-mile speedway track (200 laps in all). Monkey Knife Fight has an extremely easy fantasy point system: 0.1 points for each lap led and then a set amount of points for their position (20 for 1st place, 19 for 2nd place, 18 for 3rd, and so on).

Our friends at Monkey Knife Fight offer some of the coolest, and easiest to win, NASCAR DFS games in the industry. If you haven't checked out these games yet, you can start this weekend! There are no massive tournaments where you have to get ridiculously lucky just to cash because, at MKF, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the betting line, and the dudes at MKF have fallen all over themselves to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a $100 deposit bonus.

We'll be helping you along every day and night where there's a race, by providing you with expert prop picks all NASCAR season long here at RotoBaller. RapidFire picks will return in a few weeks once we have a baseline with the Next-Gen car.

Pick 1: More Or Less Fantasy Points

As promised, the shots we are taking with More Or Less begin again. This week at Fontana is our first shot at an intermediate track. Results might be a little more like we are used to. Might. Consider there were ten separate spin outs just with qualifying.

Some will forget that the Fontana race did not exist last year thanks to the pandemic. This throws some of the loop data off and understand that a few drivers fared worse than usual with qualifying this week. That tossed things off the rails a little more.

At any rate, let's get back to work. Last week, we did pretty well overall. Hitting that big prop early was huge. The crashes and chaos went our way. Please remember how much of an outlier Daytona can be. Again, Fontana is a bit different typically.

The idea that Kyle Larson is set at just 18.5 points is interesting. Even Denny Hamlin at 17.5 points is not too too far off from what we projected before the week started.

We plan to risk this, get crazy, and take the LESS on both of these drivers AGAIN!

Yes, Kyle Larson won three of his first five races on tracks just like this 2-mile track. He is near his native home which sparks all sorts of narratives as well. However, he starts 13th, did not qualify for the final round of qualifying, and arguably his three teammates could all finish better than the No. 5.

This could blow up in our faces because of how Larson can drive a race car. However, the goal is to go BOLDER. Just wait till one sees what we have cooked up come April.

Denny Hamlin has a different problem. He is expected to bounce back after unexpectedly getting bounced from a Brad Keselowski inspired wreck last week at Daytona. However, Hamlin has never won at Fontana. He has come close but again, no cigar. This is not automatic even with him topping the charts in practice.

The last three trips have seen him finish sixth, seventh, and sixth. He has led few laps to boot. So, this seems insane but maybe, just maybe, it isn't?

So, it's a risky bet here on both fronts and a bet on the LESS is worth a shot.

Pick 2: Even More or Less Fantasy Points (2/2)

Recommended Prop Pick: Chase Elliott LESS 17.5 Fantasy Points, Kyle Busch MORE 16.5 Fantasy Points

This prop here could work too. There is a lot to like here and Kyle Busch may be one of the best high-wear drivers on two-mile tracks in modern history. After all, he did win this in 2019 and could have in 2020. He has seven podium finishes in his last nine attempts at Fontana. That is ridiculous!

Anyway, his third place qualifying leads to potentially leading a decent amount of laps. Just another one of those podium results nets the MORE here.

These point totals are quite intriguing. There are 200 laps in all (unless there's overtime). Three straight races at Fontana have NOT gone past 200 laps. Weather will be mostly tranquil but do watch out for potential slight cross-winds. That could play some havoc in the field. Could. The chances this materializes is not guaranteed.

Take the MORE with Kyle Busch and the LESS with Chase Elliott. Watch Elliott not quite reach the target especially if Bowman and Byron steal the show. They very well could from Hendrick Motorsports. Again, Busch is so good late in runs with lots of speed to spare. Add in the propensity to lead laps and that is enough to push things over the top.
