Pick 1: Rapidfire Time Pick The Correct Drivers
Kyle Larson is still the best driver right now on NASCAR. He does enjoy a small cushion with his 52 playoff points going into The Chase. That will be vital. He starts from the sixth position on Sunday night and is one of the best drivers when it comes to Darlington of late. He has an average finishing position of 2.33. That includes leading 31.94% of the laps and enjoying a driver rating of more than 126 (also leads active drivers).
For Martin Truex Jr., this is a different story. He has a bit more pressure on him to do well. The No. 19 car only starts in the tenth position and everyone knows what happened in the Spring. Truex Jr. led 248 of the 293 laps en route to one of the most dominant victories of the entire NASCAR season. That race was not close as the Joe Gibbs Racing driver masterfully races on this track where package and high-wear tire management is king. The challenge becomes who to pick among two great drivers who both have a good deal to prove.
Then, there is the ultimate risk between Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin. Both drivers have some definite success at Darlington. However, the track "too tough to tame" has caused both of them some occasional issues. The younger Busch just cannot win on this track. Over the past six races though, he does have five top-ten results and an average result of eighth. Meanwhile, Hamlin has won once and finished in the top ten four times. The problem with this is that Busch has been the more consistent driver over the past couple of months aside from wrecking a pace car. Busch also has four straight top tens that include three trips to the podium.
Busch getting any plus points is amazing in itself. The No. 5 car is worth a shot there as well. Take Larson and Busch and you should not take an L this Sunday night.

Pick 2: More or Less Fantasy Points (2/2)
Recommended Prop Pick: Denny Hamlin LESS 18.5 Fantasy Points, Kyle Busch MORE 17.5 Fantasy Points
This prop is a fun one because who knows how this week could turn out. Hell, Kyle Busch could again end up on the podium tonight if all goes as expected.
Luck has not been kind lately to either as we said. However, the feeling is Hamlin is going to lead some laps and that is going to make things dicey for this prop at best. The prop here will drive some mad as we said. Again, Hamlin will likely even finish in the top-five. It boils down to laps led. If other drivers dominate as they should, there will not be the 25 or so laps needed for Hamlin to hit the MORE here. This is why we say, take the LESS and run.
These point totals are intriguing with Kyle Busch. He has been so solid on the track and especially in the summer. The No. 18 car has done everything but win at Darlington. If anyone is arguably due for a checkered flag here, it is the Joe Gibbs Racing driver. He has not won on the track since 2008. When one includes all intermediate tracks and not just Darlington, Busch has the best average finish of all active NASCAR drivers at 7.6. That includes a half-dozen wins in the past three seasons. This should translate into another podium for Busch. Take the MORE anyway here.
