Reid Detmers, 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (LOWER)
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Reid Detmers has a Tuesday matchup at home against the Texas Rangers. In his last two starts against the Rangers this season, Detmers had two quality starts and allowed one earned run in 13 1/3 innings. In those two starts, Detmers also racked up 15 strikeouts. The Rangers hitters have had a difficult time against Detmers, and that trend should continue on Tuesday.
Bryan Reynolds, 7.5 Fantasy Points (LOWER)
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds faces Philadelphia Phillies starter Aaron Nola on Tuesday. Reynolds is one of the better hitting outfielders in baseball, but Nola seems to have his number. In his career against Nola, Reynolds has gone 1-for-12 (.083) with seven strikeouts. Nola is among the best pitchers in the league, and Reynolds should continue to struggle in this matchup.
Joc Pederson, 7.0 Fantasy Points (LOWER)
San Francisco Giants outfielder Joc Pederson has a Tuesday appointment with San Diego Padres starter Seth Lugo. In his career against Lugo, Pederson has gone 1-for-13 (.077) with five strikeouts. Pederson is one of the streakiest hitters in baseball, and he has gone 2-for-14 (.143) in his last six games. I expect Pederson to continue his hitting woes on Tuesday.
Seth Lugo, 16.5 Pitching Outs (HIGHER)
San Diego Padres starting pitcher Seth Lugo faces the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday. In the past month, the Giants have the fourth-lowest batting average and sixth-lowest OPS against right-handed pitching. The 33-year-old pitcher has completed six innings in six of his last seven starts. The Padres starter should reach six innings again in Tuesday's matchup.
Aaron Judge, 8.5 Fantasy Points (HIGHER)
New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge faces Toronto Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman on Tuesday at Rogers Centre. The Yankees were recently eliminated from playoff contention, but that does not take away from the fact that Judge is one of the best hitters in baseball. In his career against Gausman, Judge has gone 9-for-31 (.290) with three home runs, two doubles, and six RBI. Despite the tough matchup against Gausman, Judge should continue to produce on Tuesday.
Rafael Devers, 1.5 Total Bases (HIGHER)
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers faces Tampa Bay Rays starter Zach Eflin at home on Tuesday. In his career against Eflin, Devers has gone 5-for-8 (.625) with two home runs, two doubles, and three RBI. The Red Sox third baseman is also tied for the 14th-most extra-base hits in baseball. Devers should rack up at least two total bases on Tuesday.
