Garrett Cooper, 0.5 Singles (LOWER)
The Marlins are just ok against right-handed hitters at home. They are slashing .271/.327/.398 with a 102 wRC+ for the season. At home versus right-handed pitchers this season, Cooper is well below that average, slashing .235/.278/.402 with a wRC+ of just 88. Cooper's record versus Wheeler for his career is ok, but Wheeler's 3.98 xFIP and 26.8% K rate should keep Cooper in check tonight in Miami.
Alek Manoah, 4.5 Strikeouts (LOWER)
Everyone is rooting for Manoah to get back to what he once was (2.24 ERA in 2022), and his team believes he can do it versus the Tigers tonight, but I do not. In the last 30 days, Detroit has a 102 wRC+, up from 90 for the season. Versus righties at home this season, they have a 133 wRC+. This won't be the soft landing for Manoah that many believe it will be, and even with limited time this year, his 6.1 xFPI and 17% K rate could make it trickier than many expect.
Tyler Glasnow, 8.0 Strikeouts (LOWER)
Glasnow is hot, there is no doubt about that, but on the road versus right-handed pitchers, Atlanta is slashing .262/.337/.479 with a 119 wRC+. They did struggle a bit with righties earlier in the season, but with a 164 wRC+ for the year, I'm not counting out the Braves versus Glasnow.
Kyle Schwarber 7.5 Fantasy Points (HIGHER)
Tonight, the Phillies are going up against right-handed pitcher Sandy Alcantara. In his career versus righties, Schwarber is slashing .235/.344/.525 with a 123 wRC+. Alcantara has a 19.7% K rate for the season, 19.3% versus left-handed batters. Against the Marlins this season, Schwarber is slashing .300/.462/.700 with three hits and four runs. Schwarber will have no problem going over 7.5 fantasy points tonight in Miami.
Alex Verdugo, 1.5 Total Bases (HIGHER)
We know how much Verdugo likes to go up against right-handed pitchers. Against righties this season, Verdugo has 24 RBI with a .306 average and six home runs. On the road versus lefties this season, Luis Medina has a 21.7% K rate and a 5.1 xFIP. In the last 30 days, Boston's 99 wRC+ has crept up from 85, and for the season at home versus right-handed pitchers, they are slashing .288/.352/.466 with a 115 wRC+. Verdugo will easily go over 1.5 bases versus Medina at Fenway Park tonight.
Elly De La Cruz, 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (HIGHER)
Switch-hitting De La Cruz, and any bat he uses, will have no problem going over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI versus Corbin Burnes tonight. Versus right-handed pitchers, De La Cruz is slashing .350./398./.638 with four home runs and 14 RBI. The Big Red Machine sits at the top of the NL Central, with a 126 wRC+ and .222 ISO. Burnes' 23% strikeout rate will not be enough to stop one of the league's top rookies from getting over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI tonight in Milwaukee.
