Julio Urias, 4.5 Strikeouts (LOWER)
Julio Urias has had an up-and-down season in the strikeout department, collecting under five strikeouts in five of his last seven starts. The Toronto Blue Jays have the fewest strikeouts against left-handed pitching this season. Urias' season-long numbers seem fine, and his K/9 is around what it was last season, but the production has not been consistent. The Dodgers starter could flip the switch and have a dominant outing, but the Blue Jays are not the ideal matchup for that outcome.
Luis Arraez, 0.5 Batter Strikeouts (LOWER)
Miami Marlins infielder Luis Arraez has been the buzz of the league because of the batting average numbers he is putting up this season. After another three-hit performance, Arraez has a batting average of .379 this year. To hit for such a high batting average, Arraez's contact rate has to be extremely high, and it is. Arraez's contact rate is 94.4%, which means he is not swinging and missing much. His 5.4% strikeout rate is in the 100th percentile, so Arraez should avoid a strikeout on Tuesday.
George Kirby, 3.0 Earned Runs Allowed (LOWER)
George Kirby is one of baseball's most underrated pitchers, and he continues to show why this season. Kirby has a 3.23 ERA in 119 2/3 innings this season, which shows he is among the league's best pitchers at run prevention. Kirby also owns a 75.6% LOB% this year. The 25-year-old has only given up more than three earned runs in four of his 19 starts this season and only once in his last seven starts.
Tyler Glasnow, 8.5 Strikeouts (HIGHER)
Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow has the skill and ability to pull off a dominant strikeout performance against the Miami Marlins. The Marlins are middle-of-the-pack regarding strikeouts against right-handed pitching, but Glasnow is no average righty. This season, Glasnow has a whooping K/9 of 13.17. Glasnow is the type of pitcher that can go out and put on a strikeout show, so I expect the fireworks to be on full display.
Ezequiel Duran, 0.5 Singles (HIGHER)
Ezequiel Duran is one of the brightest young stars in baseball today, and with the injury to Corey Seager, he should be in the lineup nearly every day. Duran has singled in his last three games and has a batting average of .297. The young slugger's xBA is .282, which primarily supports the production he has put forth so far. In the heart of a dangerous Ranger lineup, Duran should have many opportunities to hit a single in Tuesday's content.
Ha-Seong Kim, 0.5 Singles (HIGHER)
San Diego Padres utility infielder Ha-Seong Kim has been on fire since the All-Star Break. The righty has been leading off for the Padres for some time, and that decision is paying dividends. Kim has hit well over.300 since the break and is coming off a massive performance on Monday night when he hit two home runs at Petco Park. The Padres' leadoff man should see many at-bats in Tuesday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Kim should collect at least one single in this contest.
