Gleyber Torres 7.5 Fantasy Points (LOWER)
Nolan Jones 7.5 Fantasy Points (LOWER)
Marcus Semien Fantasy Points (LOWER)
In 101 plate appearances this season, Torres has a .250 batting average with just one home run and 4 RBI against right-handed pitchers. The Bronx Bombers are facing Tanner Houck in Boston tonight, and while Houck's ERA is 5.23, his xFIP is 3.71. In his career versus Houck, Torres' slash line is .154/.267/.385 with a .651 OPS.
Nolan Jones is 4-16 for the season with a homer and 3 RBIs against lefties. As a team, the Rockies have a putrid wRC+ of 68 and just 81 for the last 30 days. In his only game against the Braves, Nolan went one-for-four with three strikeouts.
In Texas, against right-handed pitchers, Marcus Semien has a .265 batting average with three homers and 16 RBI for the season. In his career versus Kevin Gausman, he has four out of eighteen hits with a home run and three RBI in 19 plate appearances. Gausman has a 28.8% K rate this season with a 2.73 xFIP. Even with the Rangers' ISO of .197, fantasy points will be in short supply tonight.
Paul Goldschmidt 9.5 Fantasy Points (HIGHER)
Corbin Carroll 9.5 Fantasy Points (HIGHER)
Mike Trout 10.5 Strikeouts (HIGHER)
Goldschmidt and the Cardinals will face rightie Tyler Megill in Citi Filed tonight. Megill has a 16.9% K rate and an xFIP of 5.22. In 114 plate appearances against right-handed hitters on the road, Goldschmidt has a batting average of .300, with five HRs and 14 RBI. Versus Megill, he has a slash line of .400/.400/.800. Note: Keep an eye on the weather for this matchup in New York.
In 2023, Corbin Carroll has a .255 batting average with five HRs and 14 RBI in 111 plate appearances against right-handed pitchers at home. Versus right-handed pitchers, he has 14 stolen bases. Even if McKenzie makes it challenging for Carroll to launch a homer, Carroll is almost guaranteed to steal at least one base, which will get you halfway there.
For the season, Mike Trout has a .242 batting average with 12 home runs and 30 RBI against right-handed pitchers. He and the Angels will go up against Brady Singer at Kauffman Stadium tonight.
In his career against Los Angeles, Singer has allowed four runs and seven hits in 5 innings. Game-time temperatures will be in the low 80s in Kansas City's hitter-friendly park, and I expect Trout to go well over 10.5 fantasy points.
