Bobby Witt Jr., 7.0 Fantasy Points (LOWER)
Kansas City had its moments this year, but that time has come and gone. They have a 61 wRC+ and .091 ISO (average is .140) for the season. Versus right-handed pitchers at home, Witt, Jr. is slashing .225/.282/.372 and has a 72 wRC+. The Royals will face Tyler Glasnow, who has a 30.7% strikeout rate and 3.78 xFIP against right-handed batters on the road. It's going to take a lot of work for Witt, Jr., or any of the Royals to do much damage versus Tampa Bay and Tyler Glasnow tonight.
Austin Hedges, 0.5 Batter Strikeouts (LOWER)
Hedges isn't having a good season, but he will be facing a pitcher with a 16% K rate. At home versus right-handed pitchers, Hedges is slashing .216/.245/.255 with a 36 wRC+ (I had to read that twice). In his last five games, he is .167/.286/.167, and in five at-bats this season versus the San Francisco Giants, he has no hits. I doubt he strikes out, but I also doubt that he gets on base versus Ross Stripling tonight.
Sandy Alcantara, 5.0 Strikeouts (LOWER)
Alcantara will be in Baltimore tonight, facing a red-hot Orioles team. In the last 30 days, the Birds have a 116 wRC+ and a .174 ISO. On the road versus Baltimore, Alcantara has a 20.8% K rate and a 4.94 xFIP. Camden Yards is already a hitter-friendly park and will have winds out to left field at eight mph. I don't see Alcantara striking out more than five Orioles in Charm City tonight.
Jack Suwinski, 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (HIGHER)
Lefty Suwinski will face Ross Stripling tonight, owner of the 16% K rate discussed above. Suwinski has a 135 wRC+ for the season, and against right-handed pitchers at home, he has a 118 wRC+. He is slashing .235/.360/.514 for the season with 18 home runs and 39 RBI. I expect him to quickly go over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI tonight versus the Giants.
Adley Rutschman, 7.5 Fantasy Points (HIGHER)
Switch-hitting Rutschman is facing Alcantara, who has a 4.60 xFIP and 19.8% strikeout rate versus left-handed hitters this season on the road. We just saw Rutschman put on a show at the Home Run Derby, and while facing Alcantara will be much different than facing his father, I still expect him to put up way more than 7.5 fantasy points tonight at Camden Yards.
Gleyber Torres, 2.0 Total Bases (HIGHER)
Torres has been inconsistent this season, but facing left-handed pitcher Austin Gomber at Coors Field tonight should give him plenty of opportunities to get more than 2.0 total bases. Torres has a .264 batting average in his career, with 39 home runs and 98 RBI against left-handed pitchers. Gomber has a 15.1% strikeout rate versus right-handed batters at home, and I expect Torres and the Bombers to do a lot of damage in Colorado tonight.
