Isn't it funny how once football comes back everyone counts the days until Sunday? Well, not for us! Because we know Wednesday is ALLLL day baseball booming!!! We're seeing some good things with the early games today, so we're going to focus on that! As always, check lineups and weather!
Picks to Click for September 11, 2013:
P Yusmeiro Petit - I know a lot of people don't like using pitchers right after they've thrown a no-hitter (or lost one with two out in the ninth), because they usually don't pitch as well. Well, my friends, that's because when someone throws a no-no they usually struggle to finish the game with an absurd pitch count (see Tim Lincecum), and thus don't have enough time to recover before their next start. But Petit only threw 95 pitches last time out!!!! Start him with confidence against a Colorado team that he dominated recently.
C Yan Gomes - An absolute beast in day ball with a .357 BA, .631 SLG and 1.033 OPS. Shields has been shelled his last two times out, and I think Gomes booms one today.
SS Asdrubal Cabrera - Though he is having a down year, Cabrera has done most of his damage during the day, as well. He's slugging 100 points higher during the day, while also hitting much better vs. righties. I'm not sure today is going to be such a high-scoring day, so one big hit could make him have the most points at the SS position.
3B Pedro Alvarez - Another pitcher who seems to be slowing down as the season progresses is Garza. I loved him when he first came to the Rangers, but that was almost two months ago. Alvarez has a .417 average against him with a homer. The only other playable bats at 3B today are Beltre who has been slumping big time, and Todd Frazier.
OF Marlon Byrd - As I live in NJ, I got to watch a lot of Met games... and as unfortunate as that is, I also learned that Marlon Byrd mashes during the day... What's more, Burnett looks to me like he is running out of gas.
OF Shin Soo Choo - One of the better leadoff hitters in the game, Choo only has power vs. righties and hits for a higher average and with more power during the day... that makes him the STUD OF THE DAY.

As always, remember to check your MLB daily lineups before they lock and make sure you are doing your own research, too, for optimal performance! The most successful daily leaguers are grinders who are constantly tweaking their lineups as the day goes on and fantasy news gets released. Good luck today, RotoBallers!
