We have finally reached the start of the 2020 MLB Season! Just sit and let that sink in for a moment, folks. After four long months of waiting, we can finally start setting our lineups and get into the groove of fantasy baseball. Of course, along with the start of the 2020 season, comes the start of MLB Monkey Knife Fight Prop Picks. Be sure to check back here regularly to see which picks I am targeting on any given day.
Our friends at Monkey Knife Fight offer some of the coolest, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no massive tournaments where you have to get ridiculously lucky just to cash because, at MKF, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the house, and the dudes at MKF have fallen all over themselves to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a $50 deposit bonus.
As it pertains to MLB on MKF, I like to start with pitcher strikeout totals and give a breakdown of my rationale on those first. Next, I will offer up some options to pair with the pitcher totals in case you want to dive into some 3/3, 4/4, or 5/5 type of contests. Friday, July 24th presents a large slate of 14 games for us to choose from. Some games we can try to take advantage of include the Royals at Indians.

Royals @ Indians: More or Less Contest
More or Less Contest - Shane Bieber more than 6.5 strikeouts and Danny Duffy less than 4.5 strikeouts.
This number is a tad low for Shane Bieber who struck out at least six Royals in all three outings a season ago and struck out 20 Royals' batters across 18 innings in 2019. The Indians will likely let him go as long as possible in this outing as they do not wish to tax their pen early on in the season, and for good reason, as they have three starters capable of going deep into games. Duffy, on the other hand, has not been solid vs. the Indians. The Indians actually make for a great DFS stack on this slate as they have pounded Duffy. Their projected lineup tonight has an average of .303 vs Duffy and has a strikeout rate of just 12.6%. The Indians also ranked inside the top 10 as far as strikeout rate is concerned vs. left-handers in 2019 with a rate of 21.1%.

More or Less Contest - Carlos Santana more than 1.5 hits/walks and Jordan Luplow more than 1.5 hits/walks
Carlos Santana more than 1.5 hits/walks - To start, Santana has ridiculous numbers vs. Danny Duffy in a solid sample size of 36 at-bats. In those 36 at-bats, Santana has 16 hits with three homers and two walks, which is good for a .444/.474/.778 line. Santana also has a career .275/.371/.455 vs. lefties and managed a .324/.458/.551 slash line vs. lefties in 2019. He also put up a BB/K rate of 1.00 vs. lefties in 2019 across 222 plate appearances. He is a solid bet to hit the over on this prop.
Jordan Luplow more than 1.5 hits/walks - I am very high on Jordan Luplow for tonight's slate as noted by my streamer piece located here. He absolutely mashed lefties in 2019 to the tune of a .474 wOBA and a 198 wRC+. He also walked at a clip of 16.8% vs. left-handers, which makes this prop even more attractive. The only issue is if he gets pinch hit for, but I am banking on him finding enough success to reach this prop ahead of that possibility.
