Nationals @ Braves
More or Less Contest
Patrick Corbin less than 4.5 strikeouts and Tucker Davidson more than 3.5 strikeouts
Corbin has mostly been a trainwreck in 2021 and now has an ERA of 6.23 with just 41 strikeouts across 52 innings pitched. He will be facing a Braves team that is getting better vs. left-handed pitching as they now boast the best K rate in the league over the previous 10 days with a rate of just 9.8%, albeit over a small sample size. Corbin has only gone over this total twice in his previous seven starts and they came against notoriously bad teams against lefties in the Brewers and Phillies.
Tucker Davidson only has one start to go off of this season, but he did manage to strike out five Mets across six innings pitched. He will be facing a Nationals team that has actually been striking out at a solid clip over the previous 10 days against left-handers as they are currently posting a rate of 25.7%. He should be able to get four of them today as the bar is set rather low.

Tigers @ White Sox
More or Less Contest
Lance Lynn more than 6.5 strikeouts and Casey Mize more than 4.5 strikeouts
The Tigers have gotten better in terms of K rate lately, but they are still striking out at a rate of 25.6% vs. right-handers over the previous 10 days, which is ranked 10th-worst in baseball. Lynn has managed to go over this total in four starts this season but has yet to face the Tigers, which could certainly work in his favor here.
I have been on the Casey Mize train his last couple of starts and am not going to get off now as he has struck out 20 across his previous three starts. While the White Sox are more than a formidable foe, they are striking out at a rate of 27.4% against right-handers over the previous 10 days, which is ranked seventh-worst in baseball over that span. Mize also faced these White Sox back on April 29th and managed to mow down six of them, so he has done this before.
