Astros @ Yankees
More or Less Contest
Gerrit Cole less than 9.5 strikeouts and Lance McCullers Jr. less than 6.5 strikeouts
It is scary taking Cole on a less than prop, but he has a tough matchup in this one against the Astros. Over the previous 10 days, the Astros are only striking out at a rate of 21.7% vs. right-handers, which is ranked 10th-best in the league. Cole also went under this total (8) when facing a similar K rate team in the Toronto Blue Jays back on April 12th and April 1st.
McCullers Jr. is known to have tough road splits and this matchup at Yankee Stadium does not get much tougher for him. The Yankees are currently striking out at a rate of just 20.8% vs. right-handers over the previous 10 days, which ranks third-best in baseball over that span. They are also posting a solid 118 wRC+ mark. McCullers has also failed to reach this total in three of his five starts in 2021.

Brewers @ Phillies
More or Less Contest
Brandon Woodruff more than 6.5 strikeouts and Zack Wheeler more than 5.5 strikeouts
Woodruff gets a solid matchup vs. a free-swinging Phillies team today and could be in line for a solid day. The Phillies just whiffed eight times against Freddy Peralta last night and are now posting a K rate of nearly 30% vs. right-handers over the previous 10 days, which ranks second-worst in baseball. They are also posting just a wRC+ mark of just 48, which is ranked the worst in baseball. Woodruff has also gone over this total in two of his previous three starts.
Zack Wheeler has eclipsed this total in five of his six starts this season and has a solid matchup against the Brewers today. Milwaukee is posting a 23.1% K rate against right-handers over the previous 10 days and is also posting just a wRC+ mark of 81. This is a lineup that Wheeler should certainly be able to navigate, especially with Christian Yelich back on the shelf.
